Is this normal for CET hosts?

I'm not sure if this is usual or if I'm just unlucky. A few months ago I received an email from my host with a list of about five things, freeplay, points, etc, I may be entitled to if I booked a room. I replied saying I would like to know which one I was able to get as I already had a flight booked for 16nts. I was informed I didn't actually qualify for any of them, just a 5k reward gift of points to anyone on 1st redemption which evidently meant I could gift 5pts which meant I get nothing. Bit weird.

Then yesterday I get an email saying if I swipe my card at the kiosk I can get 4x points in June and July. When I ask what dates this was for I find out it started in 8th June. I was there until 9th June but knew nothing about it. Didn't even get told at the Diamond desk when I got my new $100 voucher actually on the 8th June. Obviously I didn't swipe my card on 8th June because I knew nothing about it.

Is it normal for this bad communication that means I get things that don't actually relate to my status or that starts before I even get to hear about it.

It's very frustrating. Just interested if this happens to everyone.

Your host probably didn't personally generate the first email, his name just got stuck on it. Why the 2nd one came so late, I don't know. Just sounds like general sloppiness by CET, could be a mistake. They send floods of emails, some days I get three. They're not usually mistimed or like the one you described first though. But I do occasionally get flaky ones that obviously weren't ready to go out.

I hear your frustration. CET is like a chameleon, always changing. What's "normal" today will be different tomorrow. My experience, CET properties outside of Vegas work harder to bring people to the property, therefore, look out for players more. When I go to the total rewards desk at my local Harrahs, they will often point out my current offers or promotions at the property. In Vegas, the conversation is very specific to why I am at the desk. I've learned to ask is there anything else I qualify for.

I'm with Chuck. You got a couple of random emails that I'm sure were sent out to millions of players. And the host coded to you had their name stamped on it.

For the 1st offer, I get offers like that from my locals. "Mystery Monday" I either won a car, a trip to Bermuda, of $5.00 in free play.

For the 2nd offer, much like the 1st it was a generic email. If you opt into their mailing list you will get dogshit like this all the time. I opt out. The only emails I get are specific to me, the casinos I'm rated at and my level of play. In other words, offers actually for me and not generic marketing emails.

There might be a lag in getting them to you if you have a foreign IP? I know there is often a conflict due to so many people out of country (defined by which country you live in) sending spam. Maybe your server delayed it? Maybe their server delayed send it? Maybe CET is generally shitty about this sort of thing?

Thanks guys. Maybe I'm not quite so irritated now although it's still annoying to know you've missed out on 4x points because you knew nothing about it.

The TR app often shows offers before I receive an email offer.
I wouldn't be too disappointed about missing out on the 4x points. My understanding is that the 4x points refers to GGWU points, not TCs or RCs. Unless you are planning on going back for a GGWU event and have a significant number of points, the offer isn't worth while.
If I don't see an interesting offer on a dates that I'll be in Vegas, I'll inquire with my host.
