Las Vegas Visits Tapering Off?

    I use this site to gauge how busy Las Vegas is: https://visitdata.org/bystatesel/Nevada/ALL You don't have to follow that link, but if you do, click 'Show/Hide/All' which hides all the other graphs, then click "Hotel", which only shows hotel traffic.

    I don't know how accurate their numbers are, but assuming they don't change their methodology, I would expect their percentage change from one week to the next is probably accurate. If so, then Las Vegas visits dropped about 25-30 percent in the past few weeks. I'm wondering if this usually happens every November? Or is it tapering off because of the COVID spike?

    And, on that note, it's also interesting that the Las Vegas COVID spike is happening in spite of decreased visitors.

    Probably a combination. Later November and the first weeks of December are probably the quietest time of the year. A lot of the shows go dark (in normal times) once NRF is over.

    I did not know off my head top, so I looked it up. It's NFR. But that sounds kinda backwards to me.

    Whichever it is, it isn't happening, along w. any conventions, so should be super slow IMO.
