My wife and I headed over on Thursday from Cali to meet friends from Texas. Their son was celebrating his 21st bday on Thursday 5/31.
I had a small bankroll ($1900) for the weekend. Comped room at Harrah, staying until Monday then driving home.
We stopped in at Stateline for the wife to pickup a few things at bed bath and beyond. I headed over to the casino and promptly lost $200 at craps, and another $55 at 3 card poker. Ugh. I was a little bummed and hadn’t been gambling for 45 minutes! I went to a BJ table with the remaining $45 and literally didn’t lose a hand until I was back to even. Thankfully left even and it felt like a win!

That crew landed and got to Caesars, then the drinking started.(None for me though). No gambling rest of night as we showed the boy around the strip.
We got up early and headed out to SpeedVegas so the bday boy could drive cars fast! He got 10 laps in the Nissan GTR. Not what I would choose if my folks were buying but fun nonetheless.
My wife and I sprung for the drifting package for him since I had drifted in Vegas once before and it was awesome.

The five of us headed downtown after getting back from SpeedVegas. We went to Andiamo’s in the D. Great meal, sorry no pics. I was gambling a little and Cylar the birthday boy wanted to learn craps. He pulled $300 out of the ATM and off we go! We rolled at a slow table in the Golden Nugget. I was up $50 or so and the boy was up $140. I cashed out and made him cash out even though he didn’t want to. I was laughing, telling him there is 4 craps table at every casino in town, and you have to quit while your ahead if you want to win.
We gambled a little more at the D and I was down for the night and the boy was up $200 and plenty drunk. I am pretty sure he loves Vegas. Winning money, drinking for free and pretty women!

We went back to Caesars cuz we had tickets to Absinthe. That is the best show in Vegas. Just a riot! We got upgraded to the third row and the show is great. After the show we headed back to Harrahs and I got beat up for a few hundred before going to bed. No traction at blackjack.

We headed over to Caesars at 9am on Saturday and rented a cabana for the day. We walked by a cabana on the way to the one we rented and I asked how much to upgrade? Nothing! We can have it! It was as big as our room at Harrahs, felt like. That was a fun day at the pool.
Cylar kept wanting to go play blackjack at the swim up BJ tables in the pool. Pretty fun, hot dealers and a fun party vibe. He dumped a few hundred of last nights winnings, and I dumped a few with him. Fun day though! We left the pool as the Golden Knight game started. Mom,Dad and Cylar headed up to their room to get cleaned up. My wife and I went to the sports book to watch the game. (in our suits)
After the first period I bought into a $1-$2 NL game for $200.

Before the game was over I cashed out $820. Finally a little upswing! I went on a pretty nice rush, flopping trips, flopping a boat, and flopping trips and turning quads in a 15 hand stretch. It was pretty sweet.

We went back to Harrahs shortly after the game, oh yea, I had VGK at even money and lost $100 on the game.
Got cleaned up and gambled Casino Royals, Harrahs, and Linq before calling it a night. Wife and I down $1500 for the trip. Not bad shape, with another $1000 available if needed. I pulled $500 so I wasn’t short for tomorrow.

Sunday I am up early and head over to Mirage for some poker. Get in a short handed $1-$2 game and cash out up $400 when the wife calls and says let’s go to breakfast. So we grab our friends and talk them to Peppermill and the Fireside grill. I love that place, old school Vegas.

We head back down strip for a walk through Cromwell and Paris. At Cromwell the bday boy and I play some $25/hand BJ with 3/2 and I’m explaining favorable blackjack rules and he comes up $175. Pretty fun. We get to Paris and we play craps and stay even. The pit cards him (he got carded everywhere) and won’t accept his ID. We leave the table and shortly after we get approached by security and escorted off floor and out to the strip. So I text his mom and dad and stir it up, saying he got us kicked out of the casino! They are pretty wound up wanting to know what happened and finally meet up with us out front. No harm no foul I was just pulling your leg, but we did get escorted out. It was amusing for me anyway.
At this point, they had to grab their luggage and head to the airport, and my wife and I headed to the Flamimgo.

Rolling thru the Flamingo after lunch and walk up to an empty craps table. $10 minimum and a $200 buy in. I asked the wife to throw but she was having none of it. I said stay for good luck! And good luck it was! I went on a forty minute roll! I left after my seven out and had $1836. Man, what a rush!

We spent the afternoon at Carnival Court and I bounced between BJ and craps inside Harrahs, right there by the piano bar. I couldn’t lose. It was a pretty nice afternoon, with the wife enjoying a few cocktails, and me winning back the money we lost over the last few days. C33DF13E-C821-4DBB-9101-6947FA516525.jpeg

Sunday my wife decided since I had so much fun gambling today, she would top off our trip by getting some Tory Burch sandals. So we headed over to Venetian shopping mall and picked some up. While we were over there we tried Yardbird, which had been on my wish list for a little while. Excellent, we had Mac and cheese, burnt ends, biscuits and deviled eggs. Pretty decent and I will go back again.

Well, that’s my recap, I tried once to go live and it’s impossible. Hope you enjoyed it, I did.

You’re welcome, my wife stood there for the big craps roll and now understands the excitement when you’re on a big roll. She was standing left of the stickman, and got banged on the nose once accidentally by the stick.

    Nice report!

Sucks they were paranoid about a valid ID though. Don't they have fancy scanners for IDs? Missouri sure does. Lol

The kid looks 15. He got ID’d everywhere. Just for being in the casino or gambling or getting a drink. That was the only issue all weekend with it, even though the picture was 5 years old you could tell it was him.
The only scanners were dealers, bartenders and pit bosses! Pretty high tech
