I’m betting (pun intended) that Laura won’t get the invite next time…sorry she had to drag down your trip. As I’m approaching my 23rd LV trip in 3 weeks, thanks for the reminder of why more & more lately I do LV solo.

You have WAY more patience than me! Vegas is too far in between for me and I’d have told her STFU and been on about my merry way……never to cross paths again. lol I’m gonna do what I want when I want in Vegas, as the rest of the time it’s impossible.

As a wise philosopher once said (sorta) "The Friend of my Friend is my Enemy."

Laura sounds like quite the Karen to be perfectly honest. I sympathize. I've met up with "groups of friends" that have ruined my trip as well. It's not a pleasant experience because you're trying to be nice so as to not alienate your friends by being mean to their friends.

Oh wow……what a pain in the ass. You handled it as well as you possibly could. I may have tripped Laura. :)

Wow @campie1988, Laura sounds like a complete NIGHTMARE! I'm sad for you that she significantly fucked with your time to reunite with Stephanie. But I'm happy for you that you won at bingo and won overall, so you can have a nicer trip sooner than later!

You know, I forgot to mention this in my report, but Laura and Stephanie are both in this virtual book club I am in (joined during covid) so I get the pleasure of interacting with her once a month lol. Oh well, at least it is virtual only lol. I'm not being forced out! I also felt bad for my friend Jenna I drug along with me, but she's my bestie for a reason, through thick and thin she will be by my side LOL. I would have PERISHED without her haha.

The best thing about Bingo was that I won a coverall, which has NEVER happened to me before, although I have won other games before. I feel like that is something that doesn't happen often, esp at Plaza bingo where there is usually a lot of people playing Bingo.

And yes, I am coming back to Vegas late April with my better half!

A little late in posting. Was in Vegas Sunday 3/24 to Friday 3/29. Stayed at Aria Sky Suites. Ate at the usual places - Carbone, Dim Sum (can never remember the name), Bavettes, La La Noodle (Park MGM), Javier's and ate a most of breakfast and some lunches at Proper Eats at Aria. The trip was last minute and I worked remotely Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and took Thursday and Friday off. My team is East Coast based so I was done for the day by 2 to get some gambling time in.

Overall if I could forget Tuesday ever happened (lost 80% of bankroll in a day, absolutely nothing was hitting) the other 4 days of gambling were actually pretty good and was up or even on those days. Still the bloodbath of Tuesday remains but at least I still went home with something in my pocket and I was able convert $1200 in free play into $1100 and also won back another $1500 on the last day.

Thursday we also stopped by Gold Coast for a bingo session and my partner won $250 coverall so it paid for the session and while waiting for bingo we earned enough tier credits to get a Rachel Ray reusable cold bag for groceries. Took uber back to Tropicana to walk through and 1/2 the casino was closed already and nothing with their name on it for sale in gift shop and not selling chips so we put $1 into slot and printed ticket with their logo on pack.

The trip did start off on a good note though. Literally the first machine I was playing and I was about 200 into it and had not gotten a bonus when I triggered with all 3 pots. Sadly this was my only hand pay of the trip. It was a trigger with 4 coins too which helps. I had a few retriggers as well. One spin was at least $1000 too at some point.

I wasn't always good with taking pics (went into high limit and played the $25 min dragon link and had bonus on first spin for $1150. I cashed out so quick and ran away that I didn't take a picture) but here are some highlights.

One last win at the airport, put $20 in and got a bonus... it's another new buffalo game with 3 firecrackers with Cashman, Wicked Winnings and More Chili's to enchance the bonus round.

So glad to see you’re back posting trip reports. Looks like you’ve found your new home base in Aria. Sky Suites are really exceptional, it’s hard not to feel spoiled there.
Sorry to hear 2023 was brutal. Ugh, we’ve all been there. Looks like Lady Luck is on you your side this year! Thanks for sharing!

What was your thoughts on the Aria basketball party? Was it a pay for ticket and open to the public or was it vip and had to have a host invite you? Did drinks and food come with it or was that all pay as you go?

congratulations on a winning trip! What was your final win numbers?

I absolutely love the Aria March madness party. I have no idea if they sell tickets. I think it’s invite only. The food is good and they rotate it regularly and the drinks flow from open to close. They serve breakfast, lunch and other various food in the late afternoon/evening. In the morning Bloody Mary stations and margarita and other stations all day. They keep the seating area well maintained (taking empty plates and glasses), they have other entertainments, a full half court basketball court, ping pong, a claw game, foosball, air hockey, bunch of other stuff. Betting stations right outside the event. The only “cost” is tips and that’s at your discretion. The only issue I have is they only run it Thursday, Friday and Saturday. I guess too many people leave on Sunday so my host sets us up at the Bellagio sports book on Sunday.
I’ve been to Hoops Island at Mandalay and the event at the Mirage and they don’t come close to this event. Come early on Thursday and Friday as it gets packed.

thanks for the update. That sounds like a great party. I have done the Cosmo hoops and hops before but they canceled this year. Did a party at The Strat instead which was a lot of fun!
