We would like to try these places but the menus are hard to read lol. Anyone else feel like this?

ahhhh...lol. Google..in advance. But javiers does give the main ingredient in english. Narrow it down to a few items before showing up and then go from there.

And you can always just ask them there.

As mentioned, Javier's has descriptions in English, and to quote Jim Gaffigan, it's pretty much all "tortilla with cheese, meat, and vegetables, say a Spanish word and I'll bring you some food". Carbone was a little trickier when I first started going -- I knew what "pork chop and peppers" was, but I did have to look up "chicken massimo".

Just as an update, I was at Javier's tonight and they also have some off-menu stuff. I originally asked about the quesadilla de mariscos (which is usually shrimp and crab), and the server mentioned that they were doing a lobster quesadilla as well. I have no idea if it's more expensive than the regular seafood one, and I probably wouldn't pay a huge premium, but it was pretty good.

Don't need a menu at Carbone....get the Caesar salad, meatball (off menu), spicy rigatoni, and veal parmesan. Be hungry!!

I love a good veal parm. Sinatra’s has one that is also excellent. I’ll need to try Carbone!

It's meat from a calf instead of mature cattle, so it's just young beef. It's more tender than regular beef and it has a more delicate flavor, if that makes sense.

I say go for it for one night. You might find something you love and they’ll make recommendations if you ask. Javiers is open for lunch which is kind of a less pressure situation. And you could always look at their social media and just see what looks good.

They have bar seating? Javiers at least. Easy way to try an app and easy to find a drink you’ll like. That’s how this total Midwestern girl tried Zuma the first time.

And it’s a bummer if you miss something that you were interested in. I always thought the Jasmine Sunday brunch looked great but I missed it.

Carbone has bartop seating as well. I’ve dined there solo

I can't think of a single place at Aria, other than Blossom, that doesn't have bartop seating (not counting the current situation at Five50, where they do have a bartop in the dining room, but only the slice counter is open).

EDIT: And possibly Din Tai Fung, though I've admittedly never looked and have only sat at tables.
