I am not sure what is expected of you to get comps. All I know is I get comps because I play too much.

My question is on the Mlife Hotel offer, is everything you get on the offer basically comped up front, which would mean your in the hole to start? I did only have 4 night in a suite but got the 5th night comped.(so that puts me deeper) I normally don't stay this long and I have always got all food and multiple shows comped. Just a little concerned that I don't think I will be gambling as hard as I normally do everyday.

Yep you'll be expected to dig yourself out of the comp hole if you want backend comps ... But I don't know the impact of future comps if you are still in the hole by the end.

riddle me this, my friends....back in the 90's when the Mirage opened, a suite would be thousands in comp equivalence and a good steak, maybe $50.
Now everybody with a pulse can get comped a suite for 4 nights. But you'd be lucky to get 2 meals for a couple or 1 meal for a foursome out of the 450 F&B allowance.
What does this say? (maybe: Vegas is overbuilt)

    Supply and demand.
Comping a room vs comping a meal .. Think about what it costs the casino. If you are able to book a comp room, it means there's enough availability to give it away . Otherwise it would sit empty. Once you are staying on property, there's a high degree of certainty you're going to spend time/money there ... Whereas a restaurant only has so many seats to fill, more overhead costs per seat, plus that's time taking you away from the casino floor.
Cost to the casino is much lower for the room.

There's another element, which is that the rooms are owned and operated by the casinos, whereas many restaurants these days are operated by third parties and essentially just paying rent to the casino. It's not across the board, even within a particular property, but it makes the comp equation more complicated.

Good point about four walling, and oh by the way,my wife is skeptical about Sadelle's replacing Cafe Bellagio...she can't picture a Jewish deli as a breakfast place. Forget the bacon, egg and cheese bagel right?

Yeah and I still think rooms are crazy cheap compared to food, but that is how Vegas is redesigning itself, now that gambling is everywhere. Becoming the one place that every restaurant has to be, and where customers go for one stop shopping (Branson Missouri for foodies!)

It's "Jewish-style", not actually kosher (sort of like Canter's). I don't think they've released the menu for the Vegas location yet, but their NYC location absolutely serves a bacon-egg-cheese sandwich, not to mention all manner of shellfish.
