I had an offer from Delano last week with up to 4 comp nights, $100 RC and $75 FB, no black-out dates. I was deciding between Delano and Bellagio so I didn't book it right away. A week later, yesterday, I couldn't find the same offer anymore. The one I have now is also up to 4 comp nights, $100 RC and $75 FB but there are black-out dates. I was planning to come during the Labor Day weekend. But the second offers does not comp the Saturday of Labor Day weekend anymore. Has this happened to anyone? Should I just contact Mlife?

Their offers often seem arbitrary and can change frequently. If there’s a phone number linked to the current offer, give them a ring and see what they say about extending it to Labor Day. All they can say is no, and then keep looking until another offer pops up.

The answer to this question is almost always "yes". I love MGM's properties, but they definitely do not have the online infrastructure that CR has. I would treat the online portal as a rough guide but you're generally better served by calling in no matter what.

In this new offer cycle, they appear to have made a change in how the offers are presented:
    • I wasn't getting an offer card on the main MLife site for about a year - I had to go to the individual hotel websites. In this cycle, I do have a card on the main site.
    • When I load it, offers for all the hotels are listed
    • You can expand each hotel's offer and a calendar appears
    • The section of the offer where they tell you your freeplay, resort credit and number of nights no longer displays an offer code or a book by date - you have to drill into the terms and conditions to see it. I did notice that they offer was good through May 2020, instead of ending in 4 or 5 months like they used to
    • There did appear to be more non-compable nights for me, but most of them were over the next couple of months. It could be that there are more blackout dates because the underlying room prices have risen because they have been more successful at filling up rooms
    • It also appears that they are now applying some sort of discount (higher than a tier discount) if you want to book a room type that is higher than what you qualify to get comped. For example, I can't get a Corner Suite comped at Aria, but when I put in some dates under my new offer, it displayed the Corner Suite at a 50% discount to the retail rate. For at least the last year or so, it would either not display any room I couldn't get comped, or it would only give me a tier discount
    • I also started getting an email from each hotel notifying me of the new offer, I never got those before (except for events like slot tourneys and concerts)
    • Since the book by dates are still only a month out, I expect they still are on a monthly cycle and that offers will continue to get refreshed each month around the 15th. And that it will probably still take a month or two or three for offers to catch up to your play level after a trip
I think they may have tweaked the comp formula itself slightly, but that's nothing new - they change it according to market conditions

Man - you were being kind when you said they don't have the same infrastructure as CR. Their website is down more than it is up.

I'm seeing similar things to Chuck - the 12 month period vs. 6 months, no offer code on each individual offer, etc. I actually got my first one of these in early May and my old and new offers were side by side through the 15th, and it then permanently replaced my old format offer in the May 15 cycle.

The offers are slightly more nuanced than before; they shaved a day off of my free night offers on the high-end properties, but otherwise the offers seem roughly the same as before.

One thing I'm seeing is you can book an offer more than once now at the same property without waiting for the new offer cycle - it doesn't disappear like the old ones did. At least, it hasn't so far (I used the June 15 offer for a trip I'm planning in December). The offers also seem smarter than before; it will not show comped nights during the windows you've already booked, and +/- the three days you have to wait to use another offer, which is likely a consequence of the ability to open up using an offer more than once.
