If the total of fp & resort credits adds up to be equal or greater than my airfare then I consider it to be a good deal.
Of course I perfer more fp as I rarely have issue getting my food comp on the backend

Freeplay doesn't move the needle for me unless its a large amount. A host at V/P is always trying (usually unsuccessfully) to lure me there with the promise of free play, but it would only amount to three or four bets at BJ or bac. That's just a couple minutes of free entertainment, which isn't enough to get me to excited

Another vote for the room comp ...beyond that, the resort fee is my favorite...I hate those friggin' fees... I've never actually gotten enough free play to make a significant difference, and mine is more often than not match play and at a higher denomination than I usually play, so it often ends up costing me $$ instead of making me $$...

I tend to care more about F&B. The problem with room comps for me is I find the casinos tend to overvalue the room, relative to what I'd pay out of pocket. I'd rather pay $100 for a room and get $200 in food, than get a free room that they value at $200 but would only cost me $100 if I paid directly.

For me free play is nice but I usually lose it within 10 minutes. If I could choose between $350 in free play or $350 in resort credit I would rather have the resort credit.
Reason being I am most likely going to lose that $350 in free play, where as the resort credit I know I can treat myself knowing that it's covered.

That's why I like my Bahamas trips because the room and all fees are covered plus I have $800 in resort credits to cover all the food. If that $800 was in free play I would probably lose it than have a $800 tab at the end of the trip.

I hear you, but I'd still rather have those 4 button pushes! It only takes one to get lucky.

Is there a different kind of comp (with the same face value as the free play) that would move the needle for you though? What could the V/P host offer you to successfully lure you over there?

My own personal experience is that some casinos in Vegas do not comp a spa or massage (at least for the level I play) For example, a couple of years ago, I visited the spas at the Venetian, Aria, Wynn, the Palms, and Cosmo. None were comped for me. YMMV

In relation to the OP, as a table player, I get very little upfront comp like free play and FB is taken care of on the back end. So, for me, it's the event tickets and room.

Comps for Canyon Ranch. That spa is probably the best feature at the entire resort. But as @rycelover noted, its hard to get a spa comp (outside of the really big players). I get spa comps pretty regularly at MGM properties and have received them a few times at Wynn and Cosmo, but certainly not all the time.

Agreed on canyon ranch and surprisingly the one at the Palms isn’t that bad either.

This is a good way of thinking.

Unless the free play is more than resort credit, give me food. I'm gonna gamble my bankroll anyway, less of it I need to spend to feed myself.

I'm not a huge player, but I do get my folio comped. This includes food and beverage, spa, salon, retail, limo, event tickets. FP, Gift Cards etc are fine but they are a small perk.
What is most important to me is access to something like a box for game 1 of the Stanley Cup finals. I can't buy that on my own, so I appreciate it.

I was really thinking on this. Way back when, it would have been the room, no question. Hell, I played WagerWorks and did a timeshare for my honeymoon rooms (yes, I am a cheap beyotch). Stayed with CET forever just to make sure I never paid. If I got a little free play, that was gravy. Then I grew up.

My answer is everything. The whole package is important to me and that is why I stay at Cosmo. FP/Room/F&B/Tickets/Transportation, all taken care of and more than sufficient for my level of play. When their comp program goes to hell thanks to a sale or something, I'll reevaluate.

Oh yeah... comped tickets to the D’s owner’s box last year for the finals had to be the best comp I’ve gotten from a casino!

Box seats for an event is fantastic. Cosmo got me in their box when UK played UNC there a few years ago. It was awesome.

Something we only got one time at cosmo; when we first started playing there..
    SERVICE...
From the moment we got there, and the car was waiting at the airport...then when we got to Cosmo, host came to the door to meet us and walk us into VIP to get our keys. Then during the trip she would find us on the floor and ask if we were hungry or having fun.
That’s good service, if you ask me..but like I said, only happened one time (we figure because it was a S-L-O-W weekend; but it was nice to feel like some of you fucking millionaires on this forum) haha

I want EVERYTHING. However, I did post earlier but thought I sounded like a...... so I deleted it. I like suites for the kids. My suite is always comped but when I've brought down 8 kids (back when they did EDC)..and I needed two extra suites for the 2 groups of 4 of them (my 2 sons with 3 friends each) those suites were comped. And breakfast for all was comped. And tix for all at MJ was comped. And limo pick up for all was comped. We had 2 cars,,and one was,,,it wasn't the Maybok (is that how it's spelt?) but it was a high end and one of the kids had never been to Vegas before so he liked his first intro driving in the ....whatever kinda vehicle it was..And I think that certain weekend I also did a spa and was about to get all 8 guys spa treatments and my host said...No No...they would much rather have Garden Bunglow#6 out by the pool,,and he was right. I miss #6, since they replaced it with the Delano wall. So...to get back...I prefer rooms and everything else as my favourite comps.
