Ms. Blackjax's IHeart weekend trip~ the precursor to next weekends crazy trip!

    Our travels have begun to Las Vegas for this weekend for a milder but hopefully just as fun weekend during the Iheart radio concert!

    This trip we will be heading there today Friday 9/23 till Monday 9/26. We currently in flight to LAX. Though we are driving to driving into Vegas because I was being cheap and didn't want to pay the crazy ticket prices for the one flight they had to get us there in time for tonight's concert when I booked our trip three days ago. Kinda regretting that decision since now we will have a long car drive just to save less then some of my bets lol

    This trip will be my husband, my three kids, my oldest daughters friend and luckily my last minute babysitter my sister in law Ari! We are coming out mainly for the concert to celebrate my daughters 16th birthday!
    The kids wanted to change it up and didn't want to stay at Caesars again so we are going to try Mandalay bay since they seem to have a pretty cool pool that the kids want to try out! A little nervous on the property but I'm sure we will have a great time and if we don't like it we will just move over to caesers. Booked a suite with a connector room so we will see what we get.

    Going to have some fun with the kids and at night plan on some adult fun for sure! I'll try to keep a good report, figure I have a better chance of keeping up with a report this weekend then next weekend when just my husband and I return Friday night 9/30 to Sunday night 10/2.

    No dinner plans though Thai always seems like a good idea! :) also rented a cabana for Sunday to relax by the pool to soak up some sun and some drinks! :)

    Viva Las Vegas here we come! Another cool part is I get to celebrate what would have been my dad's 65th birthday on Monday in his favorite place! thinking of celebrating after midnight early morning at Caesars cigar bar! Anyone in town wanna meet up feel free to come join. Going to stop in around midnight Sunday into Monday. They close at 2am.

    Msbj- I was at Mandalay with my 16 year old son in May. We had a lot of fun. Good pool for the kids. We went to Michael Jackson that trip and it was awesome. I am not a huge Mandalay Bay fan- but it really is probably the best place for kids. Della's is good for breakfast.

    And- it is my luckiest casino. I win there. I REALLY need to make myself stay there next trip. I am not sure why I don't like it- but I don't.

    The drive from LAX to Vegas depending on the time of day could suck on a Friday. Hopefully, you leave early enough. If you are coming back on Monday, you should be fine. Just be careful driving- I have seen more accidents on the highway than anywhere else.

    Luckily we leave from Vegas on he way home.
    Hoping it's a lucky casino for me too, I can always go to caesers since I have a room there too.
    As for the concert we have tickets set up for both days. Kids are excited.
