wow not a single drink ticket!?! I wonder if there is a new trick to getting them now or if MGM has completely changed it up

 

That is a shame....I have had many of those experiences at Chandelier but I keep going back...nuts

Hope to see a turn around!

 

If this ever happens, I ask the bartender if the machine has been giving any trouble b/c I've played enough to have a decent idea about when a ticket should be showing up. If you tipped on the first drink and were friendly and obviously playing, it's always worth asking

 

Guess I'll try to sum up the rest of the trip

Out Thanksgiving meal was at the Dawghouse in Resorts World... we shared pretzels & cheese and a turkey club with fries. Not the holiday feast we had planned, but it hit the spot.
We gambled a bit afterwards but our tired was kicking in, so we went to bed kinda early. And slept horribly. Idk what it was about that bed, but I hated it... and hubs wasn't all that well rested either. So we were up early on Friday, and walked right across the street to have breakfast at:

It wasn't crowded at all and we enjoyed the food. We then headed back to RW to play and contemplate moving somewhere else for the night, so we could get some decent sleep.

 

We took seats back at the Center Bar (the chairs are sooo comfy!) but again, we didn't find anywhere near as much luck as we had the first night. My honey had 1 decent hit:

So we decided to slot around awhile before getting dressed up for dinner. Again, only 1 pic-worthy win but it was me this time:

Finally, it was time to head to the room to get showered and spiffy. We had a little time to kill before calling our Lyft, so I went online to see about moving hotels. I found a cheap room available downtown at Main St Station, so with hubs "go for it" i booked it (we'd be moving DT tmrw anyway, so no huge bother to get there early). We both breathed a sigh of relief, knowing we were bound to get a better nights sleep somewhere else! *We really like the bar and the slot floor at RW, so we will go back to play in the future but won't ever stay the night again.

We got a Lyft over to Palazzo to meet up with @Lousyatcraps (surprise!) and fam for dinner at:

We had a little time to kill beforehand so we gambled, duh. We played a few slots with Lousy and his brother J, and just chatted and chilled. Hubs had the only decent win:

A few minutes before our ressie, Lousy's wife R showed up and then we made our way into the restaurant. The chit chat went smoothly and we decided on our meals easily. We started with a half order of the seafood sampler:

Omg, so good!! Even the bread assortment was great!
Then Lousy, hubs, and I ordered the Tomahawk steak to share, while J and R chose the lobster. Sides were 2x mashed potatoes, mushrooms, and brussel sprouts.

Everything was delicious and we were stuffed... but how can you leave without dessert??

It was a terrific meal, with terrific company. We then made it back out onto the casino floor, to move around and let the guys enjoy a cigar. We bade a good night to R and then walked over to Encore for a try on the Dollar Storm slots (no bueno). We parted ways there, so we could cross back to our hotel and they could head back to theirs.

Lousy, J, and R are great people and we are so very glad to have spent the evening with them! Thanks again my friend for an awesome evening, let's do it again soon!!!

 

Glad I didn’t fall asleep at dinner like I did the night before.
Always great to see you and D; hopefully we’ll see you guys again sooner rather than later.

We got back to RW, went straight to the room to change into more casual clothes, and packed up our stuff. Shot the awful bed a middle finger and we were out the door. A Lyft to MSS was quick, and we were given a room on the 16th floor.

We did enough to get the room ready to sleep in, and then it was downstairs to play a bit. Hubs didnt stay up very long... he left me ensconced at my fav bank of Triple play Vp, where I found a $400 quad, yay!

I got tired pretty quickly after that and headed to the room. We slept sooo much better, thank gawd!

Saturday, we moved right across the way to stay at the Cal for 2 nights. We got a quiet room on the 20th floor (facing Main St) and everything was fine except that the AC wasn't blowing cold. We waited about 20 minutes for maintenance to show up, and after messing around in the duct he said it would be awhile (air in the lines?) So we left him to do his thing and went to get breakfast and gamble.

 

How is mss? One of our fav casinos but never bothered to try the rooms.

The rooms are extremely basic, but we like them. Its quiet, the beds are comfy, and you can get to the casino floor in 1 minute

 

After breakfast on Saturday, we walked to the Plaza to play some Vp at the bar, but the quads were elusive. So we left there to go and give the Cal some play (to keep future room comps coming). We played slots together for awhile and had this decent win:

We wandered deeper into the casino and found the new Huff and More Puff, and it showed us some love!

We then found side by side Quick Hits, but I was the only winner:

We were getting hungry, so we walked across the street to Circa to use my food credit at Victory Burger. We've never had a bad burger (or even nachos) there, and tonight was no exception. Stuffed, we sought out some slots that might pay out. Hubs found one!

So I sat nearby on a Luxury Line slot and had hit after hit myself!

The machines went cold after that, so we sat overlooking the giant sports screens to try some Vp. Hubs couldn't catch any quads but I did

Hubs was ready to call it a night, so we walked back to the Cal. He went upstairs and I went to the bank of Triple play since I wasn't tired yet. Oh hey!

A nickel Royal, cool! Now I feel more comfortable bumping it up to dimes... and hey hey, another Royal!

Still not ready for bed, I stayed at that machine. I cashed out to preserve the win, and started over back on 5cent. Playing along, and up popped dealt 3s with multipliers, sweet! Now, could I draw a kicker....

UltX went stone cold shortly after that, so I switched to DSTP for a bit...

... and caught an AWAK!

Up for the session, I decided to end it there for the night and get some sleep.

 

After a good nights rest, we headed over to the 4Queens to have breakfast at Magnolia's. It was free with my points on the new All Access card (4Queens and Binions combined their players club, and I got my new cards yesterday morning after eating at Binions). We then went and sat at the Palace Bar to play some Vp (we were surprised it was staffed, since it was not on our last trip). We played for hours... I had a bunch of quads, while hubs kept trying with my husband tax donations

Decent hits but could not get kickers, dammit. Finally, we needed a change of scenery so we chose to return to Circa and their Vp. Played awhile but the quads just weren't showing up. Drink tickets were, tho, so we were never without a beverage... and hubs took advantage. We needed some food but he didn't want to leave, so I grabbed us some egg+ cheese sammies from the coffee stand.
I was getting frustrated with the lack of quads, so I mixed it up with a stab at 4 card keno. Just a few hands in, I actually had a hit!

And it was the only card I had just 5 numbers on too... wild! I'm not sure I set it up quite right, but thanks @Royal Flusher and @YOleven for posting your keno hints and tips!

Hubs was starting to slow down and looked a little drunky, so I suggested we walk around a bit + maybe try some slots. He settled in at this one and had a win:

... and then proclaimed that he wasn't feeling too good. Uh oh, time to head to the room! We cashed his ticket at the kiosk, and then, holding him steady and upright, we slowly made our way back to the Cal. Poor hubs... it's usually ME that has to be helped back to the room! We made it and he crashed onto the bed. He slurred "go have fun" but I couldn't just leave... I got him comfy and then realized we didn't have any waters in the room. So I set the waste basket next to the bed and promised I'd be right back.
Downstairs, all the shops were closed, so I went to the bar, stuck a 20 into a machine, and asked the bartender for 2 waters. Played a minute, and then took those waters upstairs. I handed 1 to hubs, along with some ibuprofen, sat with him for a few minutes, and then when it looked like he was sleeping, I headed back out. What? I wasn't tired

 

I went back to my "lucky" Triple play machine while I waited to get sleepy. Back on UltX and dimes this time, and yes, AWAK again!

Played awhile longer but that was all it was gonna give up. Back in the room, hubs was fast asleep and I was too, in no time.

We slept in a bit and then, ready for the day, walked to Binions for another good breakfast. Afterwards, we played a few slots but with no real wins. We agreed to try the bartops at Plaza one more time before leaving DT today, but some time over there still didn't produce any quads luck. Ah well, we had fun, hubs had recovered nicely from his overindulgence, and we were ready to head uptown for our last 2 nights at the Cosmo.

We packed up and then dragged our bags across the street to the Garage Mahal (easier to get rideshare over there). A short drive later, we arrived and stood in line to try and check in. It was fairly busy at 2pm but we didn't wait too long, and luckily our room was ready, yay! We were in room 5999 (easy to remember) and it was perfect. And no dots!

It didn't take us long to unpack and freshen up, and then it was time to check out the bar scene. We found seats on a corner at the Sportsbook (specifically, I sat at @momnkid's machine with hubs to my left). I went for the gusto straight off the bat with quarter Triple play, and woohoo, a hit!

We got comfy and played for awhile, and then it was time for food but we didn't want to leave (lazy us!) so we ordered Hattie Bs. A chicken tender basket with fries arrived in no time, and we dug in. Satisfied, we resumed play... hubs still couldn't find a damn quad but I was holding my own:

Well done, @Texas Steph! I love VP, but there's something oddly satisfying about zeroing in on your cluster of numbers and watching with anticipation and hope that your selected blue cells will turn into red cells! Plus, it's pretty much mindless and there's no strategy, which is a plus after a drink...or three

 

Time to finish this already!

We slept well in our Cosmo bed. Got ready for the day, and took a walk across the street for breakfast at La Salsa Cantina, delicioso as always. Back at Cosmo, we hit the Vp and slots, just careening all over like 2 steel orbs in a pinball game.

We ate Secret Pizza at some point, played some more, and called it a night at a semi-decent time... we had to catch our ride to the airport at 11:30am.

The next (and last) morning, we ate at the Henry and then I went to the Identity desk to get my Holiday Cash Back cash. I got a cool hundo, which we decided to put in a Dragon Link.

We tried but failed to get the maxed out Major, but we had fun. Then it was time to pack up and head out.

No wins at the airport, smooth flight home, and back to work the next day.
Hubs ended the trip only a few hundos down, while I didn't fair as well... but still, it wasn't a bloodbath to return with about half my starting BR (I blame it on no handpays this trip, lol).

Can't wait to do it again, whenever that may be....
