NY NY is a tired old property - as is Paris and many others.

I used to love NYNY and still have a fond spot for it, but not for staying there. I admit, I still mosey over there because I have a fond spot for the old school Life of Luxury machines that they still have outside the piano bar...

It, along with Paris, are a couple of my absolute favorite-looking casino floors in Vegas, though that might be partially nostalgia from being NYC born-and-raised. But the rooms could use some help.

    - Is one of them where you collect snowflakes that get released as wilds on the last spin? I Haven't seen that game in a long time, used to play it a lot. WMS used to be my favorite slot maker and I would only play their titles for years. Not the same after the last few mergers and change to SG, although I am starting to see some re-released titles from the past starting to show up.

Yep! That's the one! There's a Jungle Cats and one with a Greek theme, but the snowflake one was always my favorite. (And yes, they do have it there) :)

I love New York New York. Sure, MGM had to go and fart with the place to take out some theming. But most of what was there still is, and I am thankful of that.

Im old enough to remember when the high limit slots were located inside a fake Central Park, complete with tree and stuffed birdies. You know, back when the Brooklyn Bridge was actually a bridge over water.

I love the low end food options in the cityscape. And the theming is still strong in there, so I always make sure to stop by for something to eat, just so i can hang out in there among the faux store fronts.

100% agree the slot selection is shit these days. The casino was already small, and MGM has a bad habit of taking out machines to open up spaces. You can really see their handy work over at Mandalay Bay. They started ripping out machines over there by the dozens years ago, and replaced them with nothing but open air. Same with MGM, which has wayyyy too much empty space now on the casino floor.

NYNY was always on the smaller side, as the casino is only 64,000 SQFT. That's 50% smaller than both Excalibur and Mirage (both of which lost a ton of slots too). To put that all in perspective, you could fit nearly 3 NYNY casinos inside the Bellagio's slot floor. The B is one of the only places MGM hasn't really stripped of games

Oh man, that brings me back. I also miss the table canopies made to look like trees, as opposed to it being the same sort of "airport casual" that they turned Luxor into.

They keep messing with Aria, too, but in a different way. It's the same amount of open space, but they replaced a slot bank with a stadium setup, for example, and there are literally about ten roulette tables on the floor. I barely ever see anyone at either.

Aria slot floor is definitely not kept current, even when compared to Bellagio, and they both go through the same corporate purchase channels. That is the one thing that has always frustrated me about Aria. I have some friends going there in 2 weeks so I'll be getting a sitrep on the current situation.
