Who says a Trip Report can't start in May for October 2020 or really should I say in April? Through my Timeshare they gave a marketing deal to Vegas. $650 for a week at the Mirage without Resort Fees included in the Price but still at $900 and we shall see what happens with regards to this down the road. I said why not. 5 days would have been around $500. I checked the rates for this package back in March before the sutdown and prices were more expensive for 5 days.

After I locked in the price the agent said I could get you Basic Economy on Delta for $200 more r/t I declined and used my trusty Southwest Voucher and booked myself a $97 r/t from San Jose CA for October 17th for a week but may tack on a night if I can get a My Vegas Comp.

I work in Tourism and have been to Vegas in 1998 when I was 13 almost 14, 2000 when I was 16 at the New Frontier, 2008 at the Luxor with my Father, 2010 with my Grandfather at the Encore, 2012 with my Father at a Bluegreen Resort for two days and then 4 nights at the Vdara in a 1 bedroom Penthouse Suite and in 2014 at The Trump. I am no Vegas Virgin!

My Cousins George Rudiak and Bernie Zeldin owned the Best Western Tam "O Shanter 100 room Motel starting in 1957 at Present Day Palazzio and Bernie built and owned the Las Vegan and Jackson Hotels in Downtown Las Vegas(anyone know where it is located today and what is in its place and history of these hotels)? He turned down an offer to sell it to Howard Hughes and then sold it after his death to Family Friend Mr. Adelson of Sands Corp. http://www.lvstriphistory.com/ie/tam.htm

My Cousin George Rudiak was Pavarotti's Estate Lawyer and a big player in Civil Rights for Casinos. My history comes before the Mega Resorts we know today.

Back to the story I was saddened when Vegas closed down and I am watching the VLOGS on YouTube about the reopening and am ready for any Vegas. I am so fortunate to have experienced the Buffets, Shows and Night Clubs and would love to see a Cirque show wile I am here and if the Nightclubs are open then great if not I'll stick by the pool.

Remember my Cousins did not know today's Vegas and I still have relatives in Vegas. My 105 year old Cousin George's Wife Gertrude is still kicking today(my Cousin's Grandmother). There is the Tam O'Shanter sign in the Neon Museum. The Adelsons gave money to the Jewish Day School Campus my Cousins started and my Cousin attended school with the Adelson children. As far as I know a Cousin of mine still works for Mr. Adelson at Sands Corp. Would love to meet Mr.Adelson and tell him how much I love his resorts as a Vegas Fanatic. My Grandfather who is not able to travel and I would walk through the resorts together like a museum. I love going back to the same and new resorts!

Back to the Trip Report I read that the Mirage may not open in time so I am going with the flow. I am prepared for anything and everything Vegas still is in my genes so for me I don't mind a sleepy Vegas or active Vegas.

I found a flight arriving at 8:35 PM and leaving at 7:40 PM a week later. I may even throw in time with my relatives.

So if I am moved to the Belagio or get a good deal at the Venetian or Palazzio I am golden! Do I need a Buffet to keep me going No if Eataly is open I'l l go there. I will try Gordon Ramsay's , Paris restaurants and at the Venetian and Palazzio. I have some Yardhouse Gift Cards,, $25 towards Pampas Brazilian which I went to and enjoyed, about $40 in In and Out Gift Cards. And of course Groupon and Travelzoo. I am ready no matter what.

I will play at the Cosmo for their Cosmopolitans. Need I say that I am never bored with Vegas and spending 4 days is not worth it . I love late nights and know how to entertain myself. Actually a quieter and intimate Vegas is what I am talkin about! I don't like smoke so I hope it will be less than normal.

I am not letting Ms. Corona get in the way and take all necessary precautions. Just like after 9/11 I waited a bit till things settled down so Vegas here I come.

I shall add to this in the coming months as I plan my trip and during the trip!

Another October visit planned here. Celebrating ( GOD willing) our 6th wedding anniversary. 10/7-14. Possibly joined by a half a dozen family members too. Did New Orleans last October but it’s just not the same as Vegas

Right now it looks like Bally’s fir the home base. Plus I’ve already booked comp nights at MSS, The Cal and the Strat. Hoping to get comp rooms at the Plaza, Tuscany Suites , Westgate, Tropicana and Palace Station soon. Gonna need at least 3 sets of rooms for family Can’t wait!
