Anyone play a promotion with this format? I'm wondering what kind of prizes folks have seen won, and what type of strategy folks used on allocating their drawing entries.

I’ve never participated in something like this so can’t really answer your question. I like the new HL Slot room at Park MGM so I signed up to participate in this. I like the odds of 7 winners out of 77 players.

I got that offer, too, Elf, but didn't sign up.

I've had a real crappy experience at the high limit room at Monte Carlo. I hope they made mega changes to the Park MGM high limit room.

Good luck! Hope you're one of the 7 of 77!

Currently, I like their High Limit Room. A couple of handpays from the Park MGM High Limit Room last month. (Cleo II). I did not get an invite for the promo mentioned above.

That's weird, I've never seen the jackpot handpay thing without the dollar amount listed

If you get a ticket for every 1,500 points, how do they limit the drawing pool to only 77 players?

A max bet spin on every machine in the room is cool though.

I assume you have to be one of the 77 registered participants to submit tickets for the drawing.

Nice hits! I haven't been inside Monte Carlo in years, so I'm not sure how I rated an invite. Hoping for some of your luck in June.

I believe Elf is correct. Of the 77 registered, points accumulate towards entry tickets.

Ah I see. The OP text didn't mention registration but that makes sense.

I don't think I've ever seen a promo quite like that one, as far as the grand prize. I'd never get invited to something like that or else not rack up a significant number of tickets, but I'd sure try and go watch if I was there.

I wonder what's the highest max spin out of all the machines. How about a Cleo II at $5 denom with 20 lines and 5 credits per line?

Yeah, I thought that was weird too. I just assume it is an older IGT machine.

I've had that offer when it was Monte Carlo a couple of years ago, but it was 5 out of 50 then. Everyone invited gets one ticket in the drum for the drawing, and you add additional tickets for every 1500 mlife points earned during the contest.
I wasn't one of the five when I went. Highest total win was in the range of 4.5k if I remember correctly.
I wasn't invited this year. Good luck if you go

I guess we'll let you join...
If I was in this, I probably try to grind a bunch of 9/6 JoB...1 or 3 or 5 play $5 level ($25 per line) depending on your bankroll. I would be able to earn a ticket for each line played every hour. Of course playing this instead of your normal play might mess with future offers.

The highest win was only ~$4500 @F1fan? Maybe MCs high limit room is smaller than I thought and this promo is less juicy than I thought.

Each additional drawing entry costs $69 of perfect play theoretical loss at 9/6 JoB...*giggity*.

I could see the highest win on the actual spins not being that high, as we're simply talking 7 spins per machine. That means that probably half of the machines the top payout will be either 0 or one of the lowest possible payouts (a cherry for instance). That's even more true if there were only 5 players. How many times do you sit down at a machine and win anything really good in the first 5-7 spins? Lets be honest, almost every slot you need to hit a bonus to really win anything. On top of that, to get a huge aggregate score you either need to get really lucky on one hit, or be lucky enough to be the person who hits the biggest (decent) pay on multiple machines. The nice part is that if you do end up with the highest of the 7 you get topped off with 10k on top of that. Also I'm not sure where Park MGM's slots top out at. If this were done at Bellagio or Aria for instance, the spins on the $500/1000 machines, you only need to hit some mixed bars for a big payoff. A $25 machine mixed bars are going to pay out $250-$375. Nice hit (especially with nothing invested) but not exactly a huge win.

I wonder if they give out W-2gs for any hit that triggers it on the machine? I would imagine that they have to, but I'm not sure of the exact mechanics of this event. I mean do they just load up enough credits in cash on each machine for each player to take a spin? What do they do on multi-denom machines? Spin at the highest denom available? Each Denom?

I can't make this one, but something like this is a lot more intriguing to me than going to a slot tournament with 500 other people and button mashing hoping to win some freeplay. I think the size and the format is more interesting. Plus you don't have to waste time at a slot tourney, with this you go to the drawing and if you get picked great, if not then go about your business.

It is not 7 spins per machine. You only get 1 at max bet on each machine. There were about 53 machines in the high limit room when I went.
So with only one spin, the winners had many spins with no win.

7 participants, so only 7 spins per machine. Obviously the potential is there, probably not great odds, but a neat format that provides the chance for some crazy unicorn hit.

Ya as a group, 5 to 7 spins per machine is still not a lot spins.
That is exactly how I looked at when I went. Hope to get picked and then maybe catch some dumb luck.
The only other thing that I didn't like when I went was limiting points to the Monte Carlo. It looks like they are still doing that as only points earned at Park MGM count. I like to casino hop. Staying in one casino for too long bores me.
