I've been back from Vegas for two weeks and having serious withdrawal, particularly now that I am back at work. Perfect time to write a trip report. This trip was just hubs and I at Mirage. While I was just in Vegas in June with the girls, I was very much looking forward to this trip.

First stay at an Mlife property--we had four nights comped @ Mirage via MyVegas. We arrived around 11PM on Sunday night. Easy check in and they were able to link our reservations and upgrade us to a strip/volcano view. Even though back home it was 1AM...I was still ready to gambol. The first night we made it until 2AM. We spent our entire bankroll day one, but hey, that is what bankrolls are for!

Our first full day in Vegas we had our usual vacation breakfast...McDonald's. Nothing like a sausage biscuit and hashbrown after cocktails the night before. Afterwards, a quick stop at Walgreens for provisions--Saulsilito's (yummy), wine, and Pringles. We brought Tito's and Bombay from home. This day was a full day of getting our gambol on. Cocktail service we found to be great regardless of where we gambled at The Mirage. While there were no handpays on this day or anyday, we each had a hit of $300-$400 dollars which kept us in it. (88 Fortunes reel game hit a times 38 multiplier with turtles; 5 Top Dollar Extra--2x3xpay plus a bar--I think that was like $432). Since we each had a nice hit, we did not need to hit our envelopes more than once in the morning. Also, since I tend to be a degnerate, I tried something new. When any of my tickets went over let's say $200, I cashed out and started with a fresh $100 bill. This seemed to help my brain compute that the TITO is really money, not just paper!!

Monday night we had reservations at Vic and Anthony's at GN. This was a great experience. We dined on the Select Menu which was three courses for $52 a person. We each had the filet which was excellent. By the time dessert came, we could only eat one so they happily boxed the other.

Ubered back to Mirage and got our gambol on. My husband left me unattended at the casino at about 1 AM. I made it back to the room with $1.17 Tito and a half smoked pack of Swisher Sweets. Seemed like a good night to me. I was pleased the next morning to remember I had given him quite a bit of my winnings before he left me...or perhaps he snuck them out of my purse for safe keeping?? Hmm...it is a bit fuzzy.

Tuesday we hit the Mirage pool. We didn't get there early and we still found nice seats. At Mirage, there was no bag check and they were happy to let us walk in with our breakfast and coffee from the The Bean. We stood in the pool most of the time and put our phone and speaker on the towel in front of us. We moved along with the shade. Our cocktail server had no problems finding us and bringing us Raspberry Lemonade. After a bit we hopped out and walked to The Beer Park at Paris because I had a Groupon. Yes, it was warm, but the sun in Vegas feels sooo goood. We had a pitcher of Kona Blonde and a giant pretzel, then, back to get our gambol on. Again, we each had one decent hit, so we were still playing on the previous day's money. (Fire Link nickels, hit the minor@$225). Tuesday night we had comped tix to Love. Really enjoyed. We had seen the show about three years ago, but they changed it. After Love, more gambling and a late night trip to LVB Bar--yummy. Also, cocktails at The Center Bar courtesy of MyVegas. Heavy pours are appreciated.

Wednesday we decided to hit the pool again because we had such a good time the day before. Same drill as Tuesday. We also found out that an old friend was in Las Vegas, but leaving that evening. We hadn't seen her in 12 years--since our wedding. So, after the pool we met up at Cabo Wabo for some margs. Again, maybe in the heat Uber would have been a better choice, but we walked. It was fun to catch up and crazy who you can meet in Vegas. From Cabo we WALKED to New York New York for Nine Fine Irishmen. Yes, the meal was free from MyVegas, but I was too tired from the walk. Also, I had not been on a slot machine all day--this was making me cranky. We Ubered back to Mirage and gambled.

Wednesday night we stumbled into The Parlor Lounge at Mirage. A gentleman who sounded like Barry White was singing and playing his sax to a background music track. We sat their a bit and ordered drinks which were served in heavy crystal glasses by heavy handed bartenders. Hello, Tito's. This was some impromptu fun! But, back to the gambol.

Hubs hit the 2x3xbar again on the 5 dollar Top Dollar. So, that was a nice hit for him. I had a nice hit on American Bison, a Buffalo clone. It has wheels and progressives--two of my favorite things.

Late night Wednesday led to me only drinking 7UP on Thursday morning. We packed and I went to the MlIFE desk to check on back end comps. They took off all of our room charges minus some tips--about $440. I checked my Mlife account last week, and my coin in was slightly south of 16k. I hope this generates at least some comped rooms, as I don't want to return to TI.

Overall, we lost about 1/3 of our bankroll, which, as anybody knows, is a definite win!!!!! We used Uber exclusively for this trip. Cars were clean and 1/2 the price of cabs. When I left Vegas, I thought how I have been twice in 9 weeks, that should satisfy me until my next trip (June 2019). Yet today at lunch, I found myself wondering how I could get back. :) Thanks for reading! I hope you found something of value! I know I always learn something new from trip reports! Cheers!

Fun trip report! That’s great that you had mostly good results from the slots! And lots of activities mixed in; makes the trip so much better.

We have most of our luck at MLife properties and enjoy the quality of the rooms at most of their hotels. Hopefully you will start receiving offers. Make sure to register online and check every month or two under your offer page.

I agree... mostly plusative results makes a good trip. Also, as much as I love the gambol, winning or losing--you gotta mix it up!!

Thanks for the report, and congrats on bringing home a good chunk of your bankroll!

I'm sure your play will generate future comp room offers, but you might not get as much comped off the back-end as you did this time, since you have to "play" off the cost of the room first. But hey, your offer could come with some decent FB credit as well!

Hopefully you get to visit again before June of next year!

Nice report! I think the Mirage hotel is our most ever used myVegas reward. Love the hotel and location, but could care less about the casino. We both got 2 night awards in May, and I only gambling I did there was a sports bet I think. Lol

Location is tops! Walgreens and McDonalds--five minutes. And...I think I have some sort of addiction to the coconut smell. Or, maybe just some sort of addiction.. hmm..

Fingers crossed before next June. I just go to gambol and drink. If I get my rooms on the front end--that is fine. It was a pleasant surprise to get anything off the back end as we used MyVegas comps and I was not completely sure how they worked!

Enjoyed the report!!! Thanks for sharing it with us all...I went searching for a Beer Garden Groupon as I read it, but I didn't find one yet.... Even though we stay at Paris, we haven't tried it yet... Maybe a Groupon will 'encourage' us...

Funny how that works, isn't is??????????? ;):)

We never would have known about if it wasn't for the Groupon. Strip and Bellagio Fountain view are awesome. We decided in the late fall this would be excellent day drinking due to all the draft beers and general vibe. Will return.

Coming home only donating 1/3 the bankroll and everything else comped off the end is definitely a win in my books....hmmm, almost good enough for a re-do if some front end comps come through?!? Great report, hope you find your way back before June!!!

Nice report, enjoyed it. Mirage was the first casino I stayed at way back in the 90s. Losing only 1/3rd of your bankroll is a successful trip. Heading out in Sept. Again good report, Thanks
