Pulling Lever vs Pushing spin button?

Zero difference. Pulling the lever just calls the RNG like pushing a button does.

It might make people feel psychologically better about pulling the lever, but it won't improve the expected spin outcome. But if you pull the lever, you will almost certainly play slower!

I think people who wonder about this don't understand how slot machines work. The RNG cycles through thousands, if not tens of thousands, of combinations every second. It is physically impossible to predict or time what's in the RNG. You couldn't hit the button vs pull the handle at the exact same nanosecond even if you tried and therefore you'd get different outcomes.

The only thing the button does is speed up your spins her hour, which in turn, increases the speed at which you loose money. That's why most machines don't have handles and why most video slots allow you to "stop" the reels. The casino loves nothing more than rapid firing your credits down to $0.
