We have had similar experiences with the Bellagio. It is our "exclusive" home away from home and the only real problem we haver ever had is the thermostats won't always go low enough (we like to sleep in a COLD room) and have to call engineering up to program the thermostat to go 5 degrees cooler. Other than that the Bellagio has been golden for us for years and years and years....

Aria re-did the exterior areas a couple years ago (the hall carpeting and wall coverings), and also upgraded the in-room technology (new TVs, new touchscreens, etc.), but I agree the overall furnishings are probably due for a revamp.

I was just at Aria for Super Bowl and the lobby was great but I got crap again. I really hate Aria. Or should I say Aria hotel staff really hates me.

LOL. First thing we do is turn it as low as it will go and call for a fan. Best sleep ever!

I typically stay at vdra since I have asthma but the last two times I stayed there (august and November) I have had nothing but problems. First time the in room tablet didn’t work as well as the safe. Second time the smoke detectors wouldn’t stop going off until I waited an hour for them to come fix it and then the sink broke flooding the room. I love the place but it needs a revamp

I too stay at Vdara and so far have been pleased with it. I did talk to someone there last week while checking out and they said the rooms were going to start getting a refresh after the spring busy season. I have never had an issue with the rooms and stayed there several times. I also like The Mirage, never an issue there and usually stay in one of the Stay Well rooms. MGM Grand was another story, felt like I was at a super 8. I want to try Cosmo but when you have free nights at MGM its hard to justify.

I can tell you some pretty amazing stories about Aria's service failures. Their service has always been a real problem. And they are equal opportunity failers: before I realized how terrible they were (several years ago), I spent well into the seven figures with them (corporate events). Even at that level they were providing unforgivably bad service. Ridiculous oversights, zero follow-through, no accountability, etc. It's too bad because some of the rooms are (were?) absolutely gorgeous.

You spent millions of dollars with them and didn't get good service? I've never dealt with the corporate side of things there, but in 10+ stays in the Sky Suites, I can't recall having a single service issue. My stays have consistently been excellent.
