@claired67 thanks for the fabulous recap. I hope you had a grand birthday. We have Opium tickets for November. I think we will hit up Superfrico for drinks after. Pictures are gorgeous. Definitely going to spend more time at Vesper on this trip. Hope our paths cross one day.

Happy belated birthday!

What did you friend think of the rollaway bed? I'm about to make my sister sleep on one and feel kind of bad... but also her being in her own room would be wayyyy more expensive.

My friend was willing to sleep on the couch but that’s a lot for 3 nights. The rollaway was $35/night and it’s really comfortable. Seems the size of a twin. In the terrace studio, they pushed the round table over and it just fit by the couch so she kind of had her own TV too. It worked out good for us.

Do not feel bad.

Me too! One of these times it will. Yes-I got the black fluffy with the purple puffy writing on the back.

Anytime you want one for a thumbnail, no problem. I enjoyed the vlog and can’t wait to see the rest of them. Something fun to watch now that I’m home.

Suekel blue808 TexasLady thanks guys-I really do appreciate you reading/responding. It was a great trip.

emmas yes my friend would love to join on all the trips and now her sisters/hubby/coworkers want to as well. I’m not up for that.

Anna T. I think drinks at Superfrico would be great preshow. The food was good though.

Wiscolovesvegas yes-I think deciding to recap and Instagram going down was the universes way of keeping me from looking silly.

Claire….nice job on the TR. It’s funny about your friend and her friend and her friend and so on and so on.. For us LV is all about us. Not interested in anyone else nor explaining why we like going. Nor do we want to be a tour guide that would impact our ability to enjoy LV in full technicolor:)

I think reasonable. The cocktails are $19 I think. We spent $100 for 2 with 2 drinks, 2 apps, a salad, and a pizza. Which might sound like a lot but would have been worse elsewhere.

Or at least on par. That's pretty standard Vegas pricing, after all, though my friends in Wisconsin would probably throw the drink back at the server! $100 for two with food and drinks really isn't that bad for a new-and-fancy Vegas place.
This was actually a question in my trivia league the other day! I went with a friend a few years ago, and it was definitely worth the 45 minutes it took to find the place (I'm pretty sure Pike Place Market was designed by M.C. Escher). And any upscale bar should definitely be able to make it, those are all ingredients they almost certainly will have.

Special thanks for the Superfrico pictures. I'm still pretty "meh" on the food menu, but I want to check it out if only to see the space in person, which looks really cool.

Unrelated, but when I was in law school, I had a two-bedroom apartment all to myself (I technically had a roommate, but he slept at his girlfriend's place at least six nights a week), with a queen-sized bed in my bedroom, and I slept on the couch at least half the time, if not more.

I forgot to say this earlier, but it sounds like you were a great host! It's always a lot of fun to show first-timers around.

Thanks, that's very reasonable (for Vegas) and these days we're pretty much budgeting $75 pp at a nice place if there's drinks and/or desserts. For so many people I think that at least part of the meal gets comped so it could be there's a little bit of inflation going on.

Our ressie is for 7:15pm on Thursday Nov 11 (it was the suggested time from my host), which is the day we arrive. We don't really have any plans for several hours before dinner - would you suggest that we get there early and have some pre-dinner cocktails in the entrance area?

And is the ski lodge a place where there are tables to eat, and you might get seated there, or is it a place that you have to know exists and ask to see it? I think I read somewhere that Superfrico has a bunch of these "secret" rooms, which would be right in line with Cosmo. Is there a reason to go into these other rooms like the ski lodge, or than to just see them?

44inarow I didn’t actually show her around though-we went to the pool. We had plans to leave Cosmo but never did. But she had fun-I know she wants to go again.

Mr2BOBCATS I would have liked to grab a predinner drink in the disco room just because it’s gorgeous. Lots of fun lighting.

The Ski Lodge does have tables and a food menu, but since you have a reservation I think you’d be in the other part. I asked the waiter how to get into the Ski Lodge and he walked us in after dinner. You could probably get a predinner drink there too. It’s gonna make more sense once you get there and the staff is all friendly and helpful.

The doors once you enter never made sense to me. I don’t understand where they all go and I don’t know which ones actually lead to an open space. Same way as RRL.

So I sent my friend a link to a tiny rental cabin in the woods because it’s awesome and she said “that’s why you liked the Ski Lodge. that’s your vibe.”

she’s right. I’m gonna do 2 random nights in December with some Baileys and string lights in Western Michigan since I probably can’t pull off another Vegas trip this year. But never say never.

Are you recovered yet? I'm still post-vegas tired. I still haven't unpacked and still in this cozy fluffy sweatshirt haha. Went to pay bills yesterday and found out hubby had snuck more money into my account before I left and I didn't have to low roll a day! D'oh! Guess I should have checked there for money instead of in the books in my room. :D
