Just a few more observations on this since my stay last weekend... The 2 hour expiration is strictly enforced. They scan all tickets now. The system will reject a ticket that is 2 hours and 1 minute since issue time. Other than that, I'd say it's business as usual, at least til the next change. You can still combine tickets and the value is the same.

I did a little googling, but you can read/watch more about PromoNet 2.0 here: https://am-en.jcmglobal.com/product/promonet/ (watch the video)

Thanks for the update @CherriesJubilee - I'm good with the consistency. Hopefully we get to see the other possibilities this new system has to offer with other type of rewards.

As a question to any Cosmo veterans who have played recently at Chandelier or the Sports Bar, has anyone noticed changes in the last couple of months in terms of how often drink tickets are being issued? Today I was chatting with a friend who's in Las Vegas now, and he mentioned that given the same level and rate of play, drink tickets seem to be issued much less frequently now compared to previous visits.

I'm sure there are a number of factors that determine the frequency at which drink tickets are issued, and as such it's very much a YMMV situation, but I'm curious if anyone else has noticed any changes over the last couple of months.

The main problem is some of the voucher systems plain malfunction. And they always have had issues from the beginning. Get on one of those units and you're in trouble.

I should have done a test again but I didn't think about it. On the one unit I got it on, it seemed like it took awhile, but I wasnt playing super fast either, so maybe the $125 coin-in rule for the first ticket still applied.

I’ll check in a couple weeks. Of course, I hadn’t planned on playing VP at either bar, but now I feel obligated to help a fellow board member

I was there a couple weeks ago. The drink tickets at Cosmo print out every 20 minutes down to the second while playing quarters, except for the first ticket sometimes. If you sit at a machine that had someone play recently then the first ticket might print out in less than 20 minutes. I haven't noticed that higher wagers (50cent, dollar, etc) has any impact; it still is every 20 minutes.

The PromoNet software that Cosmo uses seems pretty stable now. The first version would sometimes require a slot tech to reboot the PromoNet module if drink tickets quit printing. But haven't seen the need for that lately.

Not playing at either bar? Are you okay? Do you need to see a doctor?

It's funny you mention the $125 mark, tringlomane. My friend mentioned that the first drink ticket seems to come out after earning right around 21 session points, which on the bartops equates to $126 coin-in. Has this $125 coin-in been the standard mark for the initial drink ticket for quite some time? As much time as I've spent playing at Chandelier over the last couple of years, I had never noticed that the first ticket was this predictable.

When I visited Cosmo earlier this year in January and then again in June, I kept track of the timing of drink tickets during a few of my longer sessions. Usually I was playing 10¢ DDB DSTP (thanks again to Kevin for offering the 10¢ denomination as an option on the bartops!) which adds up to $2.10 / hand, and while playing at an average pace I was usually receiving a new drink ticket every 18 - 25 minutes, over the course of 2 or 3 hours.

Thanks for offering to take one for the team, Dave. I'll be arriving at Cosmo on October 11th and hope to spend plenty of time at Chandelier...in the interest of drink ticket statistics and research, of course!

At least since May 2018. It's awesome when you hit a hand like this right on the ticket threshold.

I haven’t timed it exactly, but a ticket every 20 mins seems to be about right for my play as well, both at .25c or the 10c DSTP betting max units and max hands. Actually I haven’t noticed a difference if I only bet 5 or 6 units on the DSTP machines

Nice hand! Out of curiosity, is this photo from your most recent trip? I never realized that some (or all?) of the single hand VP games have a progressive for the royal, although I tend to play more DSTP than single hand at Chandelier. Judging from the countertop it looks like you were playing at the Sports Book Bar, so maybe the progressive is only linked to those bartops.

No this was May 2018. I am not sure if the Sports Bar has progressives anymore. Only made it to Chandelier.

Out of curiosity, has Chandelier always offered bartop machines? I happened to stumble upon a couple of older pictures of Chandelier, presumably taken prior to the renovations in 2016. Maybe I'm missing them, but I don't see any bartop machines. I didn't start frequenting Cosmo until the summer of 2016, at which time Chandelier level 1 was closed for renovations. That said, the only Chandelier I know is as it exists today.

Those pictures look like they predated the casino. Cosmo originally was going to be condominiums, like Veer Towers. Do you have any other pictures? It's actually interesting to see them.

Here are a couple of other pictures I found using Google image search. Based on the location of the bubble craps machine in the background, the first picture appears to be Chandelier "north". Note the elevated DJ booth, which apparently was part of the original Chandelier prior to the renovations in 2016. Also, maybe I'm missing them, but I don't see any bartop VP machines in the photo.

Bartop VP is definitely visible in the second photo, however the chairs differ from those currently at Chandelier, and the DJ booth still appears to be present. That said, I'm wondering if maybe Chandelier originally didn't offer VP, but it was added at some point prior to the closing and renovations in 2016.

I vaguely recall that being the case. I didn't spend much time there pre-renovation, but I somewhat remember reading about, and seeing pictures of, the installation of VP machines.
