Road Tripping to Biloxi Casinos! 5/24-5/26 2020

    Texas Steph I think I'm addicted to Vegas...

    Up and at 'em early this morning for the 7 hr drive from North Houston to Biloxi, MS! Most of the casinos there re-opened a few days ago and we said "hmmmm... should we??" I did a lil research and found a Boyd casino/hotel in the area, the IP, so went online to see if there was any chance on getting inexpensive rooms (I have Sapphire tier with Boyd). Plugged in dates for this weekend and saw those sweet, sweet words: COMP! Booked the 2 nights, and then hubs and I had one last pow-wow. We are a bit leary of crowds and the possibility of getting sick... but we are ok with the whole mask wearing thing (for the most part) and will remove ourselves from any situation that feels uncomfortable. So, call us gambling fools but we are ready to have some fun!!

    I know some of you are eager to see and hear about the changes that are happening in casinos, so I will do my best to report in depth. It ain't Vegas but it's a start!
    @TIMSPEED is doing a TR from the Phoenix area, and @MNSlotLover is planning on a trip to his local on Tuesday (we better get at least a recap, Gary!) and there may be others heading out and reporting back. Fingers crossed for a Vegas reopening on June 4th or soon after, so we can get the real scoop from those first travelers!

    We have dinner ressies for both nights, NOT in the casinos. We want to see some sights and this will get us out for a little bit.

    I plan on a report and pics of how they’re achieving social distancing. They are requiring masks for sure and I’ve avoided wearing one so far but I’ll compromise for the chance to break an 84 day slot drought.

    I soooo want to jump in the car to Biloxi. My husband offered, but my adult son would not be happy with us. I have reservations at the Beau in a few weeks, and I’m going! Can’t wait for your updates. Where are your reservations?

    Good luck Steph! Hubby did really well at VP on the center bar at Beau Rivage if you head that way, I did much better on VP at the TAP bar. Loved both spots!
