      Day 5 Sat June 1 2024 It was hard to drop off to sleep the last night as my sore ankle was loudly screaming obscenities of the flesh at me, keeping me awake. I finally drifted off only to be woken up with a series of loud pops. Plaza fireworks.

    Day 6 Sun June 2, 2024 I had a terrible night, I'm broke, my ankle hurts, I'm tired of losing, I'm tired of not getting quads, and I'm tired of not hitting 5 out of 5s.It took me a while to get to feeling human again.

    @Royal Flusher I love a great comeback. I can also relate to losing most of my day's bankroll the first two hours of the gambling day. Those days are rough. They usually involve me sitting at a bar questioning my choices. Then I give myself a good pep talk and head to the safe! Can't wait to read the rest.

      Day 7 Monday June 3, 2024 Another day in Vegas, and I was hoping to find some more luck as I had yesterday.The morning was a repeat of what I've been doing this trip - get up, make coffee, eat emergency nuts (which ran out), and write the blog.

      Day 8 Tue June 4, 2024 Time to go home. My plane was due to leave mid-afternoon, which made for a relaxing pack-up and prepare morning.When I checked in on Monday, the Premium seat upgrade was again available, this time for $145 USD. No-brainer.Mt.

    Royals are so elusive at times, and so cyclical it seems. I went through a stretch where I had five trips in a row with Royals, including two with multiple royals. Then, a certain member of this board who I will allow to remain nameless at this point, rubbed my bald head for luck and I went on a two year Royal-less streak.

    Only recently have the Royals come back, on the Vegas trip where I hit the cycle.

    Frustrating I know.

    @Royal Flusher thank you for the update! Fantastic that you were/are able to manage without meds now. It is amazing what food adjustments can do. Looking forward to see how you accept the challenge in Vegas. There are definitely ways to do Vegas on the cheap. Creativity and humor are a must! :)

    No cheap magnificent bastard trip to Las Vegas is complete without air transportation to get you there. Unless you want to walk. Or take the bus. Time to explore my options! Just to be thorough, I looked into it.
