I used MOSTSIM for cell phone service last trip and finally wrote a review. I found it to be very good, but with a few drawbacks. Definitely cheaper than Roam Like Home from Rogers.

    Very interesting, thanks for sharing.

We're on Telus business and our "US friendly" plan has this thing call roaming passes which (in our case) allows activation of either voice calling ($20 one-time to unlock unlimited calling for 30 days), and/or texting ($2 one-time to unlock unlimited international texts), and/or data ($5 per 500MB). So last time I was in Vegas I planned to activate calling and data only (no texting) - I'd call home quite a bit since it was a work trip. Then I tried to login to a site for work and 2FA kicked off an automatic text message to me, so then I activated all 3. But still, that worked out to $27 for a 5-day trip and at no point did I feel limited, in fact it was nice to be able to call and text back home whenever I wanted. Just to be on the safe side, I did connect to wifi wherever it was free & available but I'm sure I was well under the limit when walking in between places and checking email... or reading VF.

$27 isn't toooo terrible as long as you don't need too much data. Rogers has bumped our plan to 15GB per month so if it was still $5 a day I would just do that. But you know me, I like to stick it to the man to save two bucks a day. :)

ICYMI, to try to keep the Vegas spirit alive, I had Jimmy Poon turn off the advertising on the blog, and I'm reposting trip report posts daily.

Some of the trip reports didn't have a main page, so they've been buried and therefore new to almost everyone on the planet.

Hey thanks for posting these, it now gives me something to look forward to reading tomorrow and even better, it doesn’t involve charts and graphs. Lol... zero disrespect Meant to those posting that info but my attention span is way better when reading about pretty lights and shiny things.

It's interesting to see how your writing style as evolved over the years along with your degenerate savvy gambling habits.

If 'evolved' == 'degenerated', then I agree. :)

Actually, I had a DM about the same thing, quite a difference between the early reports and the dreck literature I pump out now.

Continuing on with the Vegas Trip Report Reprint series to try to ward off our collective gambling jones.

This one is Vegas Revenge - Part 2 the Sequel 3: Avenged - The Final Conflict.

I'll be putting out a post every day so you can pretend that things aren't completely hosed for the three minutes it takes to skim through the out of focus grainy photos.

    Enjoy!

This was one of the best-received posts over the years, and many have had a chuckle over my experience. It's a top tenner.

"Before long my flight was called and on the jetway, I noticed a bit of pinching around the size Mediums. They were gripping my waist nicely though, and I figured I'd do a clandestine sack adjustment once I was in my seat. I could use the tray table method of concealment, the magazine method, or maybe even the "Oh, look over there!" cross-hand reach-and-grope distraction method.

I snuggled in to 13F and got the undercarriage cycled and rearranged adequately. Boy those boxer-briefs were feeling pretty snug.

The iPod went on and at risk of crashing the plane in a ball of flaming wreckage, I broke the rules and listened to "Luck Be a Lady" on takeoff. Right on cue, the horns kicked in as the Captain pushed the throttle forward and we roared down the runway..."
