Semi Live TR of B2B Cruise out of San Pedro, CA

I'm starting this thread a little early so that I don't forget to do it later! I'll have lots of time to update this thread as I will be sailing solo and have been on this ship 3x before.

I will be sailing on Navigator OTS May 6th-10th sailing to Catalina Island/Ensenada - then I will be doing the sailing after that, May 10th-17th sailing to Cabo, Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan. I've done both itineraries before and been on Navigator before. She is a nice small ship and I do like a lot of her venues. Both sailings were comped via Casino Royale (not UrComped)






On the first leg I have a Promenade Inside Stateroom, last leg I have just a normal inside stateroom. I could have gotten better but I was able to get extra free if I went with an inside stateroom, and since it's just me sailing, I thought why not? I did a GTY assignment and got assigned a few weeks ago. I don't LOVE the Promenade staterooms because they are noisy, but I am only in that one for the short sailing so not a big deal. Both cabins are in really good deck locations and my 7-day sailing is close to the elevator, which is nice.

The goal of this trip is to have some R&R, read some books, not to lose my shirt in the casino, and most importantly, GET DOUBLE Crown and Anchor points.

For those of you who do not know, if you sail solo in an inside, oceanview, or balcony, you get double points. My goal for this year is to get to Diamond+ status. I am at 144 points right now, which puts me at Diamond status. I need to get 31 points to advance to D+. I will get 22 points for this B2B combo, which will put me at 166, a few points shy. I will also be sailing to Greece, Croatia, and Italy later this summer, which will give me another 7 points, which then puts me at 172 points UGH! So In addition to this b2b, Greece cruise, I will need to squeeze a three-day cruise in and then I will have made it almost to the top of the royal food chain No way I am going to sprint toward Pinnacle.

I am mostly excited about the free laundry and priority seating for D+ members. This would mean I could pack lighter and not get to the shows an hour early to get a seat. The extra drink is also a good bonus for D+, as all Diamond Drinks CAN be shared with other people. So if I am sailing with someone who isn't Diamond, I can share those drinks legally

What prime members get

Annual Tier Cruise (Any cruise not on the excluded list, inside cabin)

Free Drinks in the Casino when casino is open (you can get pretty much whatever as long as they have it in the bar, including bottled water, redbull, etc)

30% off internet onboard (I usually do not get this, as I got it for 30% off in the cruise planner and they usually jack up the internet prices onboard)

Between my 4 daily drink vouchers for being Diamond and being Prime, I never pay for any drinks so I do not buy the really expensive drink packages anymore. I used to, before I was Diamond/Prime. I did buy the internet for my 7 day voyage, not for the 4 day voyage because there are two port days where I can use my Tmobile internet and then I'll get 1 free day using my diamond internet perk.

 

Navigator is a pretty small Royal ship, I wouldn’t choose it for your free one especially if you can get an Oasis/Quantum/Icon class ship I mean, I like navigator but it’s got nothing on an oasis class ship

Holy cow, been working LONG days but I am almost packed. I know it is early (I leave Sunday late morning) but I have to work another long day tomorrow and promised my other half I'd do something fun on Saturday so it had to get done today.

Even though it goes against every fiber of my being, I'm taking a checked bag. I'm flying Southwest, so it's included, but I normally am a carry on only girly. I just couldn't be fussed this time to cram everything in! Plus I want to stock up on some...stuff in Mexico and that will need to go into the checked bag anyhow lol.

 

I've been to Ensenada a few times. Have done Valle de Guadalupe many times, very nice! I'm a little nervous about venturing out by myself, so we will see how I feel when I am onboard. Plus I have done all the cruiseline excursions before so not really interested in those. I thought the scenery going to Valle de Guadalupe was beautiful, a little ruined by the piles of trash on the side of the road lol

 

Made it to San Pedro! Staying at Crowne Plaza near the port, plan to walk over there around 10ish tomorrow morning

I booked this hotel through the Capital One travel portal, because I needed to use some of my yearly 300.00 credit and you have to do that in the portal. Well, when I get to the hotel, they tell me my reservation was for October. So I show them my reservation confirmation and they found me a room, but they were actually kind of rude about it, when it wasn’t even my fault!

I had a drink at the bar and a med pizza from a local place that was terrible. I will most likely just eat the crust for breakfast tomorrow, only because it was so expensive I feel bad about only eating two pieces.

 

Internet has been spotty so made it to Catalina Island today, so have some cellular data!



no huge wins or losses, up about 200-300.00, primarily low limit blackjack play. I sat next to this “nice” couple last night at the blackjack table. She was so nice, going on and on about how great her husband was, how they were trying to have a baby (she was drunk and oversharing lol) and then she left to go to the bathroom and her husband started coming onto me ick! I shut him down, and then he proceeded to tell me that I was “asking for it” because I was sailing alone and i told him to shut up, then I asked to dealer to color me up because I wasn’t staying around for that. He then proceeded to tell me I had to stay and I said “I can do what I want” the rest of the table was freaking clapping, it was so weird! I felt so bad for the wife but I am sure deep down she already knows her husband is a POS

But whenever I moved to a different table, I hit this baby win! Of course the dealer didn’t do their part and was showing a 5

 

I’m on the first leg of my back to back, so this sailing ends Friday and they are getting off. If I see him around and he says anything to me, I’ll tell him to F off, I’m not dealing with bullsht
