Seven Stars Retreat COVID19 Style

I received the same email. I'm passing on the August event. I'm not ready to go back to Vegas quite yet.
1. the border is essentially closed right now.
2. the 2 week mandatory self quarantine upon return to Canada, is prohibitive to me.
3. I'm waiting to see the fall out from Vegas re-opening. From what I can see, there are few wearing masks and little social distancing. Although, I think it will be difficult to quantify and publicize the numbers.

 

I think it depends on the businesses... I was just in Key West and businesses were enforcing masks, and they've had very few cases. Everyone was taking it seriously and being cautious. The rest of Florida decided it wasn't real and they are seeing a spike and having to roll back their re-openings... This time it's mostly young people in their 20s too.

I booked a trip in August, I'm hoping we'll know how it is going by then. Coming from Boston, which was hard hit: just wear the mask people! It's not that hard and there are huge benefits for you and everyone around you.

 

I hope you’re right. With then number of Covid cases on the rise in many states and Florida quickly becoming the new epicentre..... I hope that Nevada doesn’t go the same way.

 

The August trip is an Experience and not all that exciting. I'm looking at the Atlantic City Experience in November, too bad there is only a week between it and the new Vegas one. As of yesterday, no details yet.

 

How things have changed in the month since you posted this. Georgia is now #7 in the country in COVID cases. You tripled your numbers from then (50K) to now (over 150K)

I hate to say so, but the Naysayers were right it turns out. And even Vegas is rolling back some of what they had reopened at the time.
