I wish they would offer FREE shuttle to (and from) the strip hotels from the airport. For the price you pay, the shuttle sucks. The shuttle was late picking me up at my hotel to go to the airport last year from Treasure Island, and got lost at the airport, wrong gate. Argh.

Have you had experience with the shuttles from the airport? I have family in Vegas and hope they can pick me up this trip (in november).

A few trips back, I took the shuttle from the airport to TI (as I had done on many previous fight trips to Vegas). But this time I kinda knew I might be in trouble when the shuttle driver was using a strip map (holding it in his hand while he was driving) to navigate the various hotel stops. It may have been his first day on the job perhaps, who knows. Get to TI and find out he gave my single piece of luggage out to someone else at one of the previous stops. He tried to leave TI and me standing there as if nothing happened - I said you need to show me your license so I know who you are, he said no - he said to call the shuttle company and we started to argue and it got a bit heated - I am an easy going guy but my gut feeling was this guy just wanted to get away and pretend nothing had happened. Finally I said I am calling the cops and told him maybe you are running a scam and stealing peoples luggage - he didn't like that at all. He said he was going to call the shuttle company and ask them what to do. He said his phone was on the drivers seat so he got back into the shuttle and once he got back into the shuttle he took off leaving me standing there. I called the shuttle company to report what had happened and it was brutal trying to get the person on the other end of the line to understand what had happened. Again I said I am calling the cops. The shuttle company rep who I was talking to hung up the phone. About 10 minutes later I get a call from the Bell Desk at MGM Grand that they had my luggage and that I could come pick it up or they would delivery it to me. I opted for the delivery as I had to get to ready for the fighter weigh-ins. Within 15 minutes the kid from MGM Grand was out front of TI with my luggage. It cost me a $20 tip but at least I got my stuff back, As one might expect, that is the last time I took a shuttle. It was clear as a BELL to me that it was time to learn how to use Uber. In all my trips to town since that incident, I never took a shuttle again, I never took a shuttle again.

Individual shuttles to each property are never going to happen. The taxi authority would never allow it and they swing a lot weight.

Shuttles are marginally economical for one person. If you don't value your Vegas time, they make much more sense. Ride sharing is about the same cost.

If there are two or more people in your party, they make no sense whatsoever. It's cheaper to share a taxi/ride share/etc.

I personally value my time in Vegas and therefore would never ride a shuttle.

No shuttle ever for me. Even pre Covid, I wanted to be around as few people as possible while using transportation lol

We're Platinum at Cosmo and have been using their limo transfers.

Before that we were using Uber Lux.

Before that we were doing sedans that we'd pick up at the airport.

    Before that... we used taxis.

I would reluctantly use a taxi again from the airport. The last one we used several years ago I gave directions to and he got really pissed off at me about how I was just costing myself money by telling him where to go and how to drive. I hate the "avoid the tunnel" conversation and the inevitable... "there's a lot of traffic/construction on Paradise" response that it usually generates. These conversations have often led to drivers attempting to drop me off at a side door and having to tell them to pull around to the front valet at no cost to me. Taxis are the worst in Vegas.

Taxis are now a set fare depending on which property you’re going to. It is now in their best interest to get you to the property as fast as possible... but it’s still about 1.5-2x on what you would spend on an Uber X.

Took a shuttle once many years ago when I stayed at the Rio-never again. The shuttle was full and I was the last to be dropped off so took forever. On the bright side, learned that if I ever need to stay in Vegas for a while for cheap, I can stay at the Bargain Motel.

I stayed off strip once by myself at Silver Seven I think on Flamingo Road. NEVER again. It was horrible. AC wouldn't work, thin walls so you can HEAR everything going on in the next room. So i always stay on the strip.

We used the shuttle once many years ago, and had a poor experience. There was about a 15 minute wait to get it boarded, then, of course TI was the last of 5-6 stops. It must have taken 90 minutes to get there. I think the trip back to the airport was a bit better. Never again! We used taxis for a couple years, then my host started offering transportation and I’ve never looked back. They’ve even taken us to concerts and dropped us downtown a few times.
