What's the most you've won on the Strip playing penny slots playing max lines minimum amount? What machine? How long ago?....same question but on three reel $ dollar machines?.....haven't been to Vegas in 8 years, will be going soon, and am on a bit of a losing streak locally...thanks!

Not really my gaming style but Mrs. P won $50 on Mr. Cashman betting 25 cents once or twice, and last trip she won around $70 on a Texas Tea bonus playing like that (20 cent bet).

The only 3-wheel dollar machines I usually play are Top Dollar and WOF and I bet max so I'm no help there.

I'll typically play max on a three reel Dollar with that max being 2-3 obviously, the only hand pay I've ever had was on a dollar machine, but I Really like pennies, can't bring my self to wager more than $1 a pull, so I keep it small..if I'm going to wager 2-3$ it's on a Dollar machine, just wondering if there's any hope at anything big on pennies playing max line, min. Credit...or if anyone has gotten a descent hand pay with just a dollar pull on a three reel $ slot.

There are many examples of people hitting it pretty big on the Buffalo slots playing min bet. Those can range from around 60-80 cents depending on the variation. I THINK it was on one of the Buffalo Grand machines that someone playing the min bet got a wheel bonus and hit the grand jackpot. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Quick Hit machines are another option with good potential. You won't get the progressive bonuses for multiple QH but you can win a couple of hundred if you get good free spins. I would suggest the Cleopatra machines as well, and I'm a fan of Rumble Rumble but if you're playing the min (fifty cents) the line pays are achingly low so you have to hit the bonus to do anything at all.

Of course, there's a member on here named @Hoofy7 who will sell you on the merits of Tabasco Country Store.

The key to any of them is to hit the bonus. If you can do that frequently enough you can make some money. As for hand pays I've only had one on slots and it was on a dollar machine betting the max of five dollars. I'm sure someone on here will have some insight though.

Also, I'm going to tag @aprilroncincy on here since they are the Queen and King of slot play while low-rolling. Excellent people to boot.

I'm a fan of the 3 reel machines. $1 slot machine is going to have a higher RTP than a penny machine.

All machines can take a lot of money, so a penny machine even at low bets can take plenty of money.

Omg, the pressure to remember details . We mostly play max lines for the minimum bet. I especially like 40 cents. Most bonuses will be $12-$35 at that level, but we’ve also had bonuses at $100-$200. Examples of games: Cleopatra, Pharaoh’s Fortune, Money Storm, Pelican Pete, Miss Kitty, Buffalo, Brazil. Also the Lightning Link type games at 50 cents can pay well. The trick to bringing back money from the smaller wins is to not play the money back thru - take it home!

As far as dollars that aren’t bonus type games like WOF, our biggest win playing one credit was $7,200 on a x12 machine BUT that was Ron at a local casino, not Vegas.

Good luck on your trip! You will see so many new things after 8 years!

I would say Buffalo Gold is a good option. I saw a guy at my local win just under $1,200 betting the $0.60 minimum. He retriggered up to 102 spins if I remember correctly and had all 15 buffalos for the last 20 or so spins. It was fun to watch.

I'm going to vote for all of the 88c with progressives machines. The picture in the "what's your favourite" thread shows my $1200 win on an 88c bet. It was at Suncoast but it could happen on the strip too. One of these days it will ;). Pick one or all of the games, there's so many of this style of game right now. The progressives pay on minimum bets and I find that I can make my money last on them and not get too bored playing low. The 3 reel version on 88 fortunes was pretty fun too.

Ditto on the 88 Fortunes/Fu Dao Le/etc. style machines with an 88 cent bet, Buffalo machines, etc. Good chances on hitting something fun.

One hot tip that i read was that sometimes the casinos will put a very high pay back machine right by the entrance door. The idea was that if it went off more often,it would attract more people into the door.
For those places that the machines are right next to an open air entrance, that is.
It worked for me,because I played the dumbest-looking machine that was right by the entrance. It was going nuts for me.
    Just a tip,mind you.
I was down town at The Fremont, where there were no doors per se,just an open entrance.

I've read that the slots by the casino entrance are the ones you want to stay away from because those are the games that gamblers throw what little money they still haveinto as they walk out the door on the walk of shame. So, not a machine meant to pay out well. ;)

I would NOT play any slot that you have to be betting max in order to win the Progressive as imagine how awful it would feel if you hit it but were ineligible.....I suggest 5¢ machines for a small roller playing minimum. They are still able to pay you well and have a higher return than penny machines without having to hit a $1 machine. They are actually my favorite denomination to play, but unfortunately getting harder to find.

Buffalo has good potential for small bets as evidenced above. I was messing around at buffalo deluxe (I think - it was an older version) and was doing 80c a bet, got a bonus for $194.

I won $257 on a Flintstones machine spinning the minimum 60c, although it was at the Downtown Grand this year rather than on the Strip
