Yeah, talking behind people's back is never a good thing.

Have you met @ted_nancy yet? He's way more concerned about fair, degenerate VP action than comps.

Trust me, I've paid my fair share ... I'll sleep in Steve's dumpster for a $20k royal though... nice hit ;)

You guys are probably the collateral damage from the Wynn trying to exclude people like me... I work a professional job and have money to spend, but I don't bring any friends and I don't spend a single penny in the casino outside of gambling. Sorry...

    I don't think I have meet Ted_nancy

I played a very bad pay table of JOB at Caesar's 8/5 and hit a royal. I've play the higher 9/6 or 8/6 and have not hit anything good. I'm not a big VP or slot player. Meaning I don't play very long.

Which is why I ask you and send Text or called BeeeJay about VP pay tables that they are getting worse and worse in Vegas. Not just at the Wynn.

With what I see from Vegas lately. I still have never had an issue wth the Wynn. I've never been asked to leave or feel I was treated bad. Or had my personal belonging thrown away.

I do think comps are getting harder to get on the strip. I see pay tables getting bad 2X odds in craps and 6/5 Blackjack.

But at my level of table play i still have 3/4/5 and 3;2 BJ with S17 so I don't have an issue with the games. When they make the changes to the HL area I'll have to stop playing and move on the just Bacc.

Funny thing happen this trip. I was getting crushed at the S17 HL table and While waiting for some people I played some H17 BJ where the old casino host desk use to be and I hit a lucky Run. I didn't play long, I think it will take a life time of hands to make a major differences.

I will agree that I like the better rules more just need to be more of these since they are all $100 min or more tables yet some are H17 and others are S17 at the Wynn.

Still like the advise on what VP machines to play in Vegas. Just like HL BJ. Just need to find the right machines with the better pay tables.

I've never stayed or played at Wynn other than doing $99 coin in on a walk-through 8 years ago, so I can't talk about how comps are chaging or not changing.

But you do have to keep in mind the audience for his comments and the limited number of other people who will ever hear them.

In the paragraph that @Funkhouser has underlined in the OP, all I really read out of that is that that he's implying he's already given orders to charge people who underplay. He may or may not have actually done that, and merely saying it doesn't bind him to it. All the chains have language in their offers that let them do it, he'd just be the first one to actually do it. Assuming he's doing it, it shouldn't affect players who are playing up to their comps, although there might be some borderline cases where people thought they were, but really weren't.

As far as the comments he made about clubgoers, see this take:

@ted_nancy, I’m curious to know how things turned out for you(in terms of your back end comp). I’ve had trips filled with quick losses, so very little Theo generated. Although unused comps don’t Carry forward, my host is in it for the long run. I may be over comped on some trips and under comped on others. He has never said he can’t cover something on a low Theo trip. As a side note, you are a bigger player than me, regularly generarating more Theo. Having an unresponsive host is annoying. I get that I am not the biggest player in my host’s Book, but I still expect a reply(and I’m patient about it).
Not all hosts are created equal. If you aren’t happy with your host, make a change so you have a better experience.

You have to know your limits. In retirement, I no longer play at a level for Steve to love me. I play at a level that the Trop loves me a lot. Suite and full RFB for 6 nights as often as I care to go. Which most years is 2 or 3 times. I'm not going to play for comps anywhere,

The host on duty did end up covering all my charges. I had 5 nights in an Augustus tower room, $700 FP and ~$500 in room charges. I didn't ask for exact theo numbers, but I ended up close to $200k coin in (I somehow stretched that free play into $60k coin in on my last day), so probably ~$3000; actual loss was ~$13k (ugh). I was probably technically overcomped, but not by a ton I don't think, and I certainly have a history of undercomp trips.

Also, I just received my Jan-Feb offers for CET Vegas and my regular FP almost doubled... they must factor actual loss into those calculations, not just ADT. So lucky for me ;)

Sorry the gambol wasn’t better, but glad you were taken care of. Interesting that your freeplay has gone up...good for you. I rarely ask for Theo numbers; maybe if the trip is at either end of the spectrum. I usually just ballpark my Theo to be about half of earned TCs.

Yeah excluding bonus TCs, that is a close estimate for tables.

You only think CET gave you 1.5% theo on the games you played @ted_nancy? CET isn't like Cosmo. Pretty sure they lump all the paybacks, and maybe even sprinkle a bit of error leeway in their VP theo. I would have assumed the machines you played gave at least 2% theo, maybe higher.

Good point, I was estimating actual theo. I've never asked for theo numbers from CET before bc I've never been denied a comp there. In this case, the host didn't bat an eye before clearing my charges, so maybe it was higher than I thought.

I used to stay at. Wynn/Encore exclusively 2010-2013. Then I moved out. I am not saying I am smarter than anyone. I am not. I am just one of the many stupid gamblers. But I saw it(reducing comps) was coming., actually already happening then. Now I don’t give a penny of my money to Wynn. To be fair, their Video Poker paytables at $1 and up are among the better ones on the Strip, but their comp policy and the way to treat low rollers are bad in my eyes.

Funny I did the opposite. I have moved my play to the Wynn and one of the few places left where I can still get a comp Suite and Full RFB.
Wynn is one of the few if not the Last one on the Strip that will do that. CET, MGM, V/P and Cosmo have pretty much stop giving me offers. (Strange only ARIA) still sending me comp rooms. It it based on play for offers and I think the only two still seeing me gamble at the casino is Wynncore and Aria.

I see an end to my Wynn/encore offers very soon. I think my days in Vegas are very numbered.

Vegas is a very different animal now. The days of comps to get gamblers are going away to party people that will pay for rooms and bottle service.

I fully understand and believe the reason is very simple: you are a much higher roller than me.

Yes, it all relative but i agree with pphold. Actually i haven't been there since oct 2017 so i can only speak about that time. I was really low rolling on both trips in 2017 and NEVER was i asked to play more or give anymore time. RFB with no issues. For a player with a 5k BR playing sluts or VP for 3 days im sure you can get room some food and bev without any pulling teeth. Now ARIA is a different situation, i am constantly warned if i dont play enough i will be paying. I dont like that but close enough with my host that i dont mind him confiding in me. He feels bad about it and has lost many clients due to PGP. Again that was last year.

I'm a low roller there, but I'm getting sick of their fake offers. I got the Sun-Thu from $129, and Fri-Sat from $219. I looked through all the days until July and didn't see those rates once.

Pretty much a bait and switch now.

I heard Aria will only get worse this year. You will need to double your action to get the same offers.
