I love the vintage movie poster theme. Pretty cool. Prize structure is based on 125 participants. Woot! It’ll be a small group.

I got invited to this too and I'm intrigued by the Cine-Scope Drawing part - earning 20k Identity points to get ONE ticket. My wife and I play on my card when we're there for 4-5 day trips and even going through our whole bankroll I don't think we've gotten to 20k over a whole trip.

So my feeling on this is that if I were to do this, that I'd be a minnow swimming in a pool of whales (jeezus there is a tier for earning 200k in 3.5 days!) and if that's Cosmo's "expectation" of play then I'm not going to be able to live up to that.

But the extra drawing does not impact the tournies

True - but I was just interpreting that as their expectation of my play during those days.

The tournament invite is based on past play, so any expectation of play would only count towards future offers. Just play like you normally do.

I'm playing in the tournament and likely will earn 20K-30K tier points, which is my usual amount. I definitely have no intentions of earning 200K points. IMO the drawings are mostly a way to entice people to attend the awards ceremony.

I doubt hardly anyone will get 200K tier points over the course of ~2 days. People with a bankroll like that are playing in the $5,000 buy in tournaments. Lastly, unless you get really lucky and hit lots of jackpots along the ways, I can almost be sure that it will cost a lot more than $5,000 for the possibility of receiving $5,000 in the drawing. The drawings to me are always an extra and not something I would ever play with the intent of winning.

I got the invite too. It doesn't fit my dates, and I'm not big on slot tourneys, so I would probably choose a regular offer with FP & RC. But you're guaranteed $250 in Identity Play, so the buy-in is effectively only $250. I definitely wouldn't alter my play level to get drawing tickets though, and I wouldn't normally earn 20,000 points in 4 days, even with the Gold 2x multiplier.

I don't think the point levels for the drawing tickets are an expectation, they're just an incentive.

Got the Invite as well. Have already been signed up for the $2MM Invitational at The Bellagio. Too bad I can't play both. LOL LOL

Do we know if it will be more than 125? Cuz the odds seem pretty decent with that small of a group?

Usually they overbook at least a few people in case there are no shows. So it could be more than 125. KS, might be able to tell us exactly or roughly how many people are currently booked though...

Does Anyone have the schedule for this? I want to make some plans on that Friday outside of gambling and wanted to know the schedule.

In the tournaments I've done there there's usually 6-8 groups to pick from. You pick your group and the time slots are set for the whole event from there. Get to registration early if you need the first session. Everything in the May tournament was done fairly early though.

I don't personally like the early time because then I might have to set my alarm for the Saturday morning session

In some tournaments the session times are randomly assigned by a computer and others you pick the time.

Both days tournament play is between 2 pm and 5:30 pm. You'll play two sessions each day.
