Yeah, no Vegas until i get the refund. Doesn't make sense to get anymore HP if i can't get the withholdings back.
I mix in some table games but my comps at those levels would pretty much dry up. I was thinking at worst i would try to play machines that were .05 to .25c denom and try and keep the wins under 1200$ (what a goal...)
1200 HP is 840$ clear. Any wins that fall between 840 and 1199 are ideal. 5$ - 10$ max bets that provide 50 -100x type hits.
This is the longest stretch between vegas trips since i started going. Its actually getting easier to abstain the longer it goes. Pretty soon I'm going to have to join a netflix group.

    Are you playing your locals?
Good luck to you on getting that refund. I don't blame you for holding off. The penny games are still fun and they can give a really great THEO so could be a great option to balance off the table games.

Keep us posted on that tax return!!!!

I have played Seneca a handful of times but no really haven't been playing locally.
I called RMS today and the IRS hasn't even looked at the audit forms i sent them yet. Realistically, it sounds like another 6 months at the earliest.
    Facking complete and utter Bullsnit!!!!!!!

I think the slow return for tax is slowing my gambling trip down south too

I got my 2014 return refund finally in mid-May of this year- so filed in January 2015 and cheque arrives May 2016. I got one of their letters in November 2015 stating that they needed another 180 days to noodle on my return like a lot of folks so their ultimate timing is pretty close. Pretty goddam ridiculous all and all and I really feel for those still in limbo or those still waiting at the mail box for these dummies. Combine this with the shitty exchange makes for a dicey business case to hit Vegas, if not for the fact that its Vegas, and that experience just can't be replicated at the locals. At least not my locals of the Casinos of Winnipeg...

I got an email from IRS today.

After further review they are DENYING my return. For whatever reason they won't acknowledge my bank statements (despite the fact that they are on the dates of my trips and in a foreign country - USA- as I'm Canadian. This is a real kick in the gut. I was legally owed a substantial amount of money (+15K) so this amounts to theft as far as I'm concerned.
I have 1 last vegas trip in me to burn up my express comps etc and that will be it. Its effing criminal, really.

OMG. I can't believe it was denied. I've seen others occasionally say they were denied too- completely insane. Is there ANY way you can further pursue this??

I was told originally mine was denied because my ITIN wasn't on my slips I received from the casino when I won my jackpot. I called MGM grand taxation department and after a big run around got put in touch with someone who re-issued my win slip with my ITIN # on it. Not sure if your win slip had your ITIN on it or not. My friend thought she had 7k coming to her but didn't understand that her losses had to be more than the amount witheld...she thought being Canadian we automatically were entitled to get it all back. I used US tax recovery and they were pretty much useless...I did all the leg work myself and got my refund in June for 2014.

Did you still have to pay rms for the work if you did the legwork??
