Tesla Holiday Light Show

Thought I would share a new feature on my Tesla Model Y.

Tesla sent an over the air update recently in time for the holidays that had several goodies including a holiday light show that synchronizes the vehicle’s lights to festive holiday music.




The software is actually open source software found here https://xlights.org/ billed as free software that allows users to create their own vehicular light show on a computer. That file can then be uploaded to compatible Tesla vehicles using a USB drive.

 

yes on newer teslas with “matrix” headlights (I don’t have) it can spell out “TESLA” in lights against a wall. Very cool indeed.

Another new feature is if you say “ho ho ho Merry Christmas” into the car’s voice recognition, it transforms my Tesla into Santa and his sleigh and turns other vehicles into reindeers.
