I’m bougie and the gf and I just changed out return flight to be later in the day once I told her what time the town car would be picking us up. Sometimes that extra couple hours of sleep is worth a few bucks.

We like arriving on an early flight and going home after 6 pm....often on a midnight flight that lands around 5 am. We have no issues sleeping on the plane, and arriving at 5 am eliminates traffic on the drive home.

I was gonna pick the Sunday morning one, until I realized you meant the *return* flight....for us, it's a 2+ hour drive home after landing, so I'd have to pick the early AM of the two choices given...Arriving after midnight and then making a 2+ hour drive home after days of debauchery is a recipe for... well, something bad most likely.

We are spoiled babies. BWI is less than 30 mins away from home. But I still haven't changed the flight yet. Maybe this time, it's age speaking...

In my younger days I always booked the cheapest flights I could find. Now I have two rules which I follow strictly...first, the flight has to be nonstop and second, the flight has to be mid afternoon (btw 1 and 3). These rules are for both arrival and departure. Usually this costs me more money but to me it’s worth it...hate the hassle of awaking early and rush hour traffic. I won’t book a Vegas trip until after I have found flights which meet the criteria. Getting old isn’t always fun lol.

I don't get the question. Sleep... who sleeps in Vegas.

If I gave up the pot/brownies/cookies/gummies/vape, I'd probably have a better shot staying awake. NAHHHHHHH lol.

You are a legend to me. Ten years ago, I would have taken you on, no sweat, and possibly would have beat you staying up the longest. So whatever you are doing, keep doing it. Cuz I'm jelly.

I am sure at some point I will need to slow down but not yet. Lol

They other stuff mentioned doesn't really help me sleep if I am not ready to sleep but maybe I just need more.

I will be flying to Beijing from Hong Kong on the 1st April, only to fly through Hong Kong to get to LAX the next day, and then wait for the flight to LV. So, 4 flights in 31 hours and 46 hours total trip to get to Vegas. I’m being hard on myself because HK to LAX costs 3x more than Beijing to LAX (via HK)...frequent flyers trick to fly from a hub that’s basically price supported by the airline. My time is basically governed by the airfare. So I will arrive in Vegas at 10pm. Sucks. But I’ll still play until at least 4am....

What’s good to note about your original question is that your comped room is calculated on each days play, so a late arrival doesn’t negate expected table time by the host. At least, that’s what I’ve been told.

I've wondered about this but we have done the night flight at least three trips now and still seem to be in Cosmo's good graces. I think our host has been using our comp nights from tier level completion. But I could be 100% wrong.

Booked 9 nights in Vegas for October. Got a 8:00 AM SW Flight arriving 9:30 AM and leaving at 7:55 PM arriving 9:20 PM to San Jose CA. No recovery time needed and I gain two extra days as I plan to be at SJ airport by 5:45 AM and LAS by 5:40 PM if no airline lounges are open.

Only fly direct and the first is always around 6:30 am. That is a non-starter with my wife! Usually end up around noon and get in by 3:00 and that works great. If I was going by myself it would always be the earliest non stop (but that hasn't happened in years).

I booked an 8:00 AM out if San Jose CA arriving Vegas ar 9:25 AM and leaving 9 days later at 7:55 PM arriving at 9:20 PM . So essentially I have an extra day free. May be worth paying the $30 late checkout fee.

Early flights from Vegas suck. I just don't have it in me to go to bed at any reasonable hour when I am there. I get a late(4-5PM) check out and fly home late afternoon or early evening depending on available times.

I always fly out of Vegas in the early morning 5:30am-6:30am.
I actually like it that way. Not very busy that time and flights are usually on time for their first leg of the day.
Of course I don't sleep the last night at all, and start preparing for leaving around 4am.
Once I board the aircraft, I fall to sleep until it lands.

You got that right when it comes to the Admiral at home. She reminded me of that often when I was on active duty in the Navy.
