The New Guy's First VF Trip Report (May 12-18 // Luxor and The D)

On Sunday, May 12th at approximately 6:05am EST, my girlfriend and I will be taking off from PIT for a week-long Las Vegas extravaganza. My first Vegas trip was this past Halloween week when I stayed in a pyramid room with two friends for four nights and was able to accumulate enough points to get myself to just shy of MLife Gold. As for my girlfriend, this will be her first time in Sin City and she couldn't be more excited!

I've got the first four nights (Sun-Wed) in a comped Luxor tower suite and the following two nights (Thurs-Fri) at The D in downtown. Due to it being EDC weekend, I was only able to get the first night at The D fully comped with Friday night at a discounted rate. I'm keeping our itinerary fairly open, the only things that are actually planned out are seeing Penn & Teller on Tuesday, getting a rental and driving to the Grand Canyon on Wednesday, getting her a spa treatment on Thursday and drinking/gambling pretty much the entire rest of the week

We're both primarily slot players but I've been finding a love for VP lately, so I plan on doing plenty of that also. About a year ago, for no particular reason, I stopped playing at the craps tables at my locals... This trip will be my return to the dice.

I hope to make this first TR interesting enough to entertain some of you and my fingers are crossed that I'll have some big wins to humblebrag about. Only 112 hours left until I'm landing at McCarran again!!

It all started with me getting her hooked on slot videos on YouTube, now I’ve got her on Vegas Vlogs (shout-out to Matt Bridger and WeWorkToVisitVegas) and casino walk-through videos, lol. I think she’s gonna have a blast!

 

Thanks, everyone! 2.5 more days of work and then an early flight, I’m getting more and more antsy each day.

 

Just shy of three hours until we have to leave the house to get to the airport and, in true ohio.mark fashion, I’m still packing and doing last minute laundry while the gf is fast asleep. Looks like I’ll sleep on the plane, which is fine with me because it’ll just make the flight go by quicker.
