Yes, the title is optimistic. Typically I'm more of a realist. The kind of guy who doesn't wonder whether the glass is half-full or half-empty, but whether questions who in the heck has been drinking my beer? You know, the important questions.

So, this is the not-very-big, kind-of-understated 21st Anniversary trip for Mrs. P and I, one that will involve some new things, some old things, but hopefully no blue things (bruises).

We're starting off at TI, then we transport ourselves over to 4 Queens and Fremont Street, where the REAL gambling will begin.

Sunday - Caught a good deal on United, around $550/person for BusinessFirst round trip. So we're scheduled to arrive around 2:30ish where our car will collect us from McCarron and spirit us away to Treasure Island. We have dinner reservations at 7:00PM at the Seafood Shack there. Never eaten there but their menu looks somewhat promising so we'll give it a try. What remains of the evening will be spent gambling, probably mostly at TI but we might venture out on the Strip some.

Monday - Pool day. We have a cabana reserved at TI for the day. We'll spend most of the day there before heading back to the room to shower up and get presentable. We have tickets for the new show at SLS (Soon: Sahara), "Blanc du Blanc which appears to be an Absinthe knock-off, but we'll see. After that we have dinner reservations at Cleo one last time before it goes away. We'll probably spend the rest of the night gambling at SLS before heading back to finish the evening at TI

Tuesday - Up early is the plan, head over to Venetian for some Bloody Mary therapy before heading over to Bellagio to watch the fountains, check out the conservatory and then hail an Uber/Lyft to ferry us to 4 Queens. Tuesday is the 20th, our anniversary, so we have Oscars booked for dinner. The rest of the evening will be spent crawling all over Fremont trying to hit a jackpot. I'm sure we'll end the evening at the King's bar at 4 Queens chasing progressives.

Wednesday - The plan is to wake early, again, and get some walking around in before lunch at Grotto. This will primarily be a Fremont day as we'll spend some time in various casinos trying to hit something big. Dinner that night will probably be either at the Downtown BBQ truck, or in Hugo's Cellar, but we might put off eating at Hugo's until tomorrow.

Thursday - We're going to head South and hit up M Resort, Silverton and South Point but on the way up there we're going to stop by Jessie Rae's BBQ just South of Mandalay because we petered out on our last BBQ trip before we could stop by. That will be lunch, then we'll play some, then head back downtown for our last night in Vegas and some serious Video Poker at 4 Queens.

Friday - A little earlier flight this time, as the car will probably pick us up around 1PM so we can get to McCarron and have some time to slot around before leaving back to Houston and real life around 3 PM. By this time I'm sure we'll be ready to leave but, hopefully, we'll be ready to come back the instant we get off the plane in Houston. IF that happens we know that we've spent JUST the right amount of time in Vegas.

Here's hoping that our gambling will run as hot as the temperature outside will be. Remember folks: Hydration is important. I'm sure this trip you'll see more pictures of water than alcohol, but we'll still be having just as much fun.

We're 6 days out. Vegas movies are already being watched, we have 3 more to go, (Last Vegas, Ocean's 13 and the tourist DVD we bought and now watch before every trip.) Also, I need to bring Lucky Hat to Vegas for a recharge. The last few local trips he's been a little cold.

Hopefully we can run into some of the VF'ers who are going to be there. We're pretty easy to spot. I'm a well-padded guy with short hair and a goatee, and Mrs. P is a short blonde who usually has her hair up in a bun and is smiling all the time. I'll probably be wearing a loud shirt.

    Because Vegas.

Not too many pre-trip updates because I'll be working like crazy this week. My company has been in the news of late, and we're incredibly busy because of it.

    Six more sleeps.

Are you able to get any M Resort comps due to play at Lauberge?

What are the minimums like at M? Taking a chance there next month.

Nothing yet. I've gotten some good offers for L'Auberge, but I haven't seen much at M yet.

I think their minimums are $10 most times. I think I saw a couple of $5 tables one morning though.

Not to hijack Mr. Pappageorgio's thread completely, but M is a great property. In addition, they tend not to see a ton of high-end play, and I've seen people betting $50 a hand being treated like a $1000+ player would be at an Aria or Bellagio. Their steakhouse is top-notch, as well.

It's a pretty place. Friendly staff that I've met, and decent VP odds. Mrs. P has done well on their slots as well. I do like their blackjack their, even though I don't play it all that often I do like it.

Their food is really good. The steak house as 44 said and the Osso Bucco at their Italian restaurant is outstanding.

You have some great plans! I hope you’re able to keep most of them. You know how it goes!

We used to have very good luck at TI. I hope you find it; lots of variety there, including old machines.

    Happy Anniversary in advance!
