    Hi Everyone,
First time poster/long time lurker. I was wondering if a situation I'm facing is the norm or if I need to do some further pushing. I have a stay coming up 11/6-11/11 at the Venetian and have stayed there the past couple of years on our annual guys trip. I usually get three night comp offers and thought I would be good for my upcoming trip. We had a couples trip with some friends back in June and we ended up not gambling all that much. So when I ended up booking my room, my host said I could only get one night comped and pay casino rate the rest of the nights. I thought, "OK, well that sucks but I guess it makes sense since I didn't gamble that much last time." A couple weeks later, I got a mailer that said I had three nights comped for dates November 1-16 and December 1-26. The fine print said blackout dates apply, but I figured that would be for dates around Christmas or other random dates. When I asked my host to apply the offer to my reservation, she said that the only dates that were not blacked out were 11/10-11/14. Is it common for offers like that to have 75% of the "offer" dates blacked out? I've been a little frustrated with my host on her followthrough on some things, so I'm curious if I need to push further or switch hosts. Appreciate your opinions on the matter.

If your hosts initials are E.M. that would explain lots otherwise this doesn't seem typical. Did you call Grazie yourself and try and book?

No, my host's initials are C.G. I spoke to my host before I got the mailer over the phone and then emailed to ask about applying that code. That's when she told me about the black out dates. I'll try calling the Grazie line and see if they can apply it. I'm also going to switch hosts as I don't want to have to do all of this follow up.

@Wiscolovesvegas Vegas and I both had a terrible experience with E.M so if you switch and end up with her you may be worse off. Hope you have better luck with Grazie directly. It took almost a year to get them to switch me hosts and it was a process so I've been quite happy staying and playing at Cosmo with a fabulous host.

Thanks, that's good to know. One of the guys we go with every year likes his host so I might reach out to her and drop his name to see if we can all work with her. He has a much higher bankroll than me, so hopefully something can happen. It's worrisome to hear that it took a year to switch, so we'll see what happens. I'm actually thinking about heading out a day early on my own and staying a night at the Cosmo. Prices are pretty high at the moment, so I grabbed a room with Bonvoy points (lifetime Titanium member, so hopefully that helps a little). Thinking I'll switch to a cash rate if prices go down closer to the visit. Appreciate the input!

This. I've gotten 4 night offers consistently as a fairly low-roller and hardly any blackout dates at all. In fact, none for me through the 2nd week of December.
