Greetings... long time reader and first time poster here.

When I recently put on a pair of shorts last worn in April at Wynn (which were subsequently washed), I pulled a wrinkled and mainly destroyed TITO out of my back pocket. Having folded it half, I can’t see the dollar amount. It may be $1, or $10, or $100, or $1,000. It’s possible the the barcode (or part of it) could be read. Possible, not probable.

Anyone have any guidance on next steps? Do I forget it, or call my host, or send it to Wynn?

Thank you in advance! Next time I’m emptying my pockets before starting the laundry!

There's probably a number on there as well that matches the bar code. They could potentially type it in at the cage and pull up the ticket info.

There should be a ticket number or serial number on it. If it’s legible it’s possible the cage could verify. I’ve done this with a sports ticket.

I'd scan it and email the pic to your host and ask if it's worth mailing it to him.

Yeah, the barcode and the TITO number (found underneath the barcode) are basically the same thing. The barcode is basically just the machine readable form for the TITO number. So if either of them are legible, you are good. As @Chuck said, send a picture of it to your host and ask him to help, or even just send the entire TITO to him and ask him to cash it in.

If you were using your card when you cashed out, that TITO can be traced back to you. I assume they could potentially pull up your TITO history and check which one was never redeemed or reused. Whether or not they want to go thru all that is a different story. Imagine tracing it all back and finding it's the $1 TITO.
A picture sounds like a good first start

I returned a TITO from Britain but it went missing. When I attempted to claim, as I had registered & insured the letter, the US postal Service informed me that they class TITOs as coupons & they are not covered in the event ofany loss or damage.
The ticket did appear at the casino weeks later & they kindly sent me a cheque.
So maybe using a carrier like UPS is less risky?

Just happened to see this on the Cosmo website FAQ while I was looking for information on their room internet. Figured I'd post in case one day this happens to me.

    The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas
    ATTN: Accounting Dept.
3773 Howard Hughes Pkwy Ste. 190 South

A check for the amount left on the EZ-pay ticket will be issued and mailed to you, typically within two weeks.

Every casino should offer this service.

I believe it is law in the state of Nevada, and I'm sure elsewhere, that all casinos offer this service, as long as the redemption is within the expiration date. Same goes with sportsbook tickets. You can mail in anything that is still valid.

Thanks everybody... an update: I sent the Tito (which was destroyed to the point that you could read the thin lines but not the barcode, and certainly not any numbers) to Wynn. They returned it, unpaid, with a letter saying they were unable to read it or cash it.

Next visit (in November) I’ll ask them to track my card to see if I have any uncashed tickets.

Not to be a Debbie Downer but wouldn't the TITO be void if you got it in April? In my local Casinos, TITO are valid for only 30 days....
