My ex and I would try to keep even. If after a morning of play I was $300 down and he was $500 down and we hit $1,000 - he would get the first $200 to bring us back to even - then we would split the rest.

My husband and I used to mainly play together taking turns which we still do but the last year or so not all the time like we used to. When we play separately we still share money and if one is losing the other one just gives them more money or we start taking turns and play together again. If both are losing and we have lost what we planned on gambling that day we quit and go do something else. :) If only one is winning we still think of it as our money and not just the winner's money.

We each set our bankroll amount prior to the trip. Once we get to the room, we agree on a combination for the safe so we can both access it as we need to. We keep separate locations in the safe and don't touch each other's funds. We don't talk about how we are doing much at all. I don't want the pressure of being asked several times each trip if I am up or down. After over 200 Vegas trips, we come expecting to lose everything we bring. Anything better than that is a win......

I was just thinking about this today. I got back last night from my annual Girls' Trip to TI (10 years ages 45-72). When I go with the girls I save all year for it in my own bank account and put money away in an envelope for each day. I tend to gamble more aggressively --if I am winning and cocktailing---I sometimes keep going--for broke. I leave in 4 weeks for an anniversary trip with my husband.(Hello Venetian!) We still use envelopes, but we tend to share. Since he only goes once a year and I go about 3x, I try to let him to the majority of the gambling. He plays higher denoms--but will hop off after a good win. I usually just stand and watch . I am also in charge of cocktails. Since he usually has better luck than me this works. If we both gambled the way I do when I am with the girls--yikes..too expensive. IF it is a losing day in general we hit happy hour. It's fun regardless, but different gambling for sure than when I am alone.

We usually split the money evenly into days and if one of us is winning then we re-split that with other if they have run out of money. If at the end of the day one or both of us is up the money goes back into the safe and we start the next day with our daily allotment, but if we are both down we try to find something else to do, but sometimes it is hard with the lure of the casino just a few feet away. My husband is much better at keeping with a daily limit than I am. If he has burned through all his money sometimes he will just sit and watch me gamble instead of taking any money from me even when I try to give it to him. He feels if he couldn't win on what he had it wasn't his day to gamble so he stops.

Hubby goes to the bank and gets the money.. And he splits it evenly and then he has a sports betting envelope. I usually have a secret stash that I keep from other gambling wins..over time.. Or my financial bonus for passing a text at work. At the end of the trip.. We put any remaining funds back together.. And it goes back in the bank for the next trip. Since I slot and he rarely does.. I tell him about all hand pays and give him 75% of the win and play with the rest.

We willy nilly it. One of us holds onto it all of it, we cash out any wins and combine our tito's. When someone runs out, the one holding it gives them more ;). In other words, we don't keep track.

My husband and I pretty much have a "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy:D We keep our funds separate, and don't even tell each other how much we are bringing for the trip. We usually gamble separately and compare notes at the end of each day. His playing style is much more aggressive than mine, he doesn't enjoy it if he's not betting big, whereas I am content low rolling all day long.

He can play bar video poker all day and barely lose anything. I however am the one who primarily spends all the bank roll. He just holds on to it and rest is in the safe. I just go to the bar and get more and get the lecture about how I need to try something different instead of losing a $1000 in less than an hour which lately at V/P has been the norm. I use to be able to play for hours on a $2-3K a day budget as I'd win some and put that back in and be able to play a long time up and down. The last 5 trips I'm not winning a damn thing to put back other than the occasional $5-600 hit which is gone in another 30 minutes. I'm really wanting to try something different and if my luck is better at Cosmo and I like the property I'm going to drop V/P. So our bankroll is most definitely not split evenly. I definitely get much more than my husband to play with.

Mrs. LV is a slot player and me mostly tables, BJ, craps and roulette. She is content plopping in a couple hundos for starters. She'll find me if she needs more and vice-versa. The safe holds the bulk of the BR and I hold the bulk of the days BR on me.

300-400 per day for each of us ,nightly or breakfast Count is a must we see where each of us is at, and say I'm at 600 and he is out I would give him 300, or I'm down to 150 and he's up to 700 he would most likely give me whatever I would need so we would both have around the same amount. I usually have more on me because I pay well it's our money but I hand it over for Anything we buy , you know those 24oz beers at CVS , LOL ! We try to use first days BR for entire trip, when we bounce back and forth and share our winnings. Like I said we try and sometime it works and sometimes it doesn't.

If my wife puts $100 in coin through for a week, that is a lot. So, $20 will work just fine.

Me on the other hand can do that in a few minutes. Three maybe? And we are talking $1,000. Money management? Ha!

I travel with my sis and so she is the one I reference in the other part of couple here.

We decided long ago to play together, really as a social thing- it's our time together so not very social if we play separate. Rarely have we ever brought the same amount of $, so we just lump it all together and that allows us to play larger bets, and we put it all on one players card. At the end of the trip, if we lost, then we lost. If we win, we split back how much is needed to get our initial buy-in back, then what's left is equally split.

Because in Vegas we are using USD $$ that we would have to purchase otherwise, now we just keep the winnings and save it for financing future trips. Unless we really come across a monster win, it's unlikely the funds will get used for anything other than another trip.

The end result is no jealousy on wins, get more time together, and better comps than if we split between 2 cards. Works for us!!

Hubby and I each have our own BR. I keep mine in a fuzzy zebra striped sock (I'm convinced nobody will look in my tacky sock for money so that's where I hide it). Sock typically comes home empty and I'm totally fine with that. I only take what I am prepared to lose without caring.

Mrs. Ocean and I just set out a total amount of gambling for the trip. She's less confident at table games, but she loves craps. She also spends more time at the spa than I do. So our usual MO is for me to go play blackjack while she finishes getting ready for the day. Then we'll play some craps or video poker together. She's come to really enjoy video poker. And we'll keep a rough split for the trip. Normally we'll play together. It works out well. I like seeing her confidence grow, especially now that she's a dark side craps player!
