Where's the best place to watch the fight? Resale prices are stupid high right now.
@Dynasty22 could probably answer this one...
I caved and bought a ticket for just over $1,100
My host comped is the tickets to ufc 226. As far as places to watch them, I think any sports book would be a good spot imo
The sportsbooks likely won't be showing them for free; just like with boxing matches, UFC generally demands a per-head payment for the marquee events. You might be able to see the prelims at a sportsbook, but the main event will likely only be at a closed-circuit event with a cover charge. Honestly, your best bet is probably to spend the money and buy the PPV online, especially if you can split it with friends and plug your laptop into the TV in your room.
Also, 229 is likely going to be a harder ticket to pick up than 226 because McGregor brings the circus to town. I personally think that Cormier is a better fighter overall, and an all-around decent dude (he's currently the champion in two divisions, and also the head wrestling coach at his son's high school, where he refuses to take a salary and instead donates it all to the assistant coaches), but McGregor is decidedly more of a spectacle.
I have the room booked already for the weekend - just waiting for ticket prices to come down a bit more. Resale started at 1k+ for balcony, currently some available for just over $600. I think it'll drop to about $400 by fight week. (Fingers crossed anyways)
Still haven't picked up tickets, but hoping to this/next week at latest. I think any press conferences that happen are going to drive some sales. Anyone else planning on going?
