last trip to Vegas was first one staying at Cosmo and using a generous freeplay offer - usually like to use any FP on $2 VP but didn't seem to be able to - anyone know if identity play is limited to just slots?

You can use it on any non progressive machine. I think I mistakenly used it on keno one time. I blame alcohol?

Was that after the epic wins posted recently? I've never played Keno, but they have it live in a lot of bars in NE. My dad plays.

Non progressives plus you can only use points that were earned gambling. Points due to spending are only for resort credit and tier advancement.

Interesting about the spend rule. I'm a bit surprised the system denotes the difference. But then again, they use exact theo on VP too. :(

It's because base points from gambling are worth $0.01 in freeplay at the base level, $0.02 at the next two (Sterling and Gold, 2x multiplier) and $0.03 at the top level (Platinum, 3x multiplier), per $2.50 coin in on slots. So that represents anywhere from a 0.4% to 1.2% rebate in freeplay. You also have the option of using any part of that amount as resort credit.

But the type of points you get from spend are 5 points ($0.05) per $1 of spend. It's a 5% rebate on spend. So they don't want to let you use that on freeplay.

You can find out how much freeplay you have by "logging in" on a machine. But the website currently only shows you the combined balance of both buckets.

The number you see when you login to the website is your total. Your points on the machine will be less if you've earned any via spend. I really noticed this past trip.

Kevin Sweet at Cosmo has said they're working on it. He knows what players want. No ETA for when it will be up and running, but I'm optimistic. The reps at the Identity Desk have access to a lot of detailed info, so it's a matter of settling on a good customer-facing design and then implementing the back end.

I'd rather wait and have them test the shit out of it first, instead of just throwing up every incremental change and having it blow up like MLife does.

Good reply thanks - I don't login to my accounts more than the 1-2 trips a year I make but nice to have functionality.

From what I've seen by reading the screen upside down when they access my account is its standard reporting software. Being in the software dev industry I'm betting their problem is making sure it's secure with the web and to be compatible with a web back end. Their internal system is probably proprietary and doesn't allow easy or secure access to the web. I'd love to be on the project team that converts it.
