I can't exactly remember what year I went-at least 5 years ago. I enjoyed the Grand Tasting, I'm happy I did it, but I wouldn't do it again.

The food porn one sounds interesting, the dinner at The Park sounds fab (the Voltaggio brothers!!!), the Cosmo tour with the mixologist sounds fun, but there's a possibility I'm not going to Vegas that weekend (despite having airfare already) so I'm going to wait until I know for sure and I'll probably miss out on this.

There are already a few events sold out. The grand tasting accommodates a lot of people. In past years, CET have included Grand Tasting tickets in their offers.

I lurve the Voltaggio brothers. I'm more partial to Bryan than Michael myself!

I need to look at the Cosmo mixologist one again... sounds right up my alley.

@claired67, any particular reason you wouldn't go back to the GT? Just the crowds? I'm hoping that will be assuaged slightly by getting the early admission tickets. It does definitely sound overwhelming though.

@jenblase The Grand Tasting was fun and I went late so the crowds were mostly ahead of me. For me, there's so many events that I'd want to do that I wouldn't repeat anything. You'll have a great time.

I haven't booked anything yet for hotel. Need to go see how busy that Saturday is with meet stuff. I'm only in Vegas for about 36 hours so if I have a free play offer, will probably go with that but I do like wine....

Thanks... I'm sure it will be a great time. Sort of a once in a lifetime thing due to the cost, so I'll make the most of it!

Out of curiosity what was the cost and did you say you used credit card points to pay for it? Just curious if I have one of those cards to use points for it if I decide to go. Lol

The early access was $350 and it was the same amount of points (35,000 ultimate rewards pts per person) as it was cash. The "regular" access was $260 I believe.

Well, maybe you'll get one of those CET offers that @newmans mentioned which includes the Grand Tasting, and then you'll just *have* to change your flight to come in earlier! ;)

The lineup is pretty similar to the past couple years, but, boy, would I love to get to do the Jose Andres or Alain Ducasse events. What a blast those would be. The Grand Tasting is a lot of fun, but it does get crowded. Worth every penny to get in early.

One GT note: get in line early. It fills up fast. I thought we did well arriving 30 minutes early, but the line was already almost all the way back to the Caesars casino. Also, the pool at Caesars can get extremely windy. Made for some interesting flying skirts, but definitely check the forecast!

I have done this in the past and for me I like the more intimate settings. The GT is very crowded and for me, not worth the money. I have done Guy Savoy before and a few others. I might do the quick fire challenge as it seems interactive.

Yes the quick fire sounds great - especially because Mary Sue Milligan and Susan Feniger are such awesome personalities!!

If it's still available when I finalize my trip I'm going to book it!

I would love to go to one or more events but at the moment due to my Mom's health and not knowing when her house will sell and I will be moving her it's hard for me to commit to anything in advance that requires payment upfront. :(

Sorry to hear that your mom is having health problems. Hopefully things clear up for you a bit and we see you in April.

First, Jenblase thanks for the link. I'm on my phone and it is going haywire (I need a new one but won't give in) which may have been why I couldn't find this thread.

The ones I'm interested in include: Bacchanal Buffet, Mixologist, Gordon Ramsay, Tapas dinner at Border Grill, Picnic in the Park and the after party with Buddy V. As I'm not rich I can't attend all so have to decide which two or three I want to do. The Gordon Ramsay one sounds fabulous but I missed out on the M&G which sold out in minutes. Don't know if missing out on priority seating and the M&G will be worth the $365 price of the later entry one.

I'm kind of a nutcase and feel I want to do a dinner and then a late night party. The Mixologist sounds so good but is a bit early in the day...

Picnic in the Park is kindof early too.

So it's between late dinners Gordon Ramsay and Border Grill and I think I definitely want to do the Buddy V after party.
