Got home yesterday at 2, asleep by 5 and slept a solid 15.5 hours. The post Vegas sleep is one of my favorite things.
Stats 4 nights terrace 1bdrm, transportation, food, booze, gamble, tips, and a Cosmo jacket forJ. Total cost $1600. Made platinum at Cosmo through may 2022, and should have played enough to get some type of offer from circa.
May be back in a couple weeks if I can get her to stop rolling her eyes so much when I bring it up.

Yeah, my flights actually dropped to as low at $48 round trip depending on flight times. And yeah, I booked two tickets at $74 apiece for Geotwink and I. Arrive Fri Dec 4, leave Dec 7. Shame on me for thinking the ride was over!

Except for you being a lot younger, us both being married, and the fact we’d need lots of money, you really should have been MY husband.
My actual husband also rolls his eyes at me when I start missing Vegas before we’ve even left.
Pre wedding counseling REALLY should have a Vegas questionnaire along with money, children, and other life questions.

Oh yes, you were most definitely on that trip. Working during the day, playing like a mad woman at night. Hitting it big on Ultimate Aces, and being hit over the head and dragged to Beauty & Essex. And praising Lucky Cat.

Not working during this Christmas trip, I hope!!

I was part of the September 2019 trip report--that was fun! The only time I managed to do a "live" report. This trip report has been great to read. Fingers crossed December 3-7th is a go for us. I am so missing that balcony view, and the champagne, oh and the gambling. Right now in Il, the casinos are open at 25%, but absolutely no beverages of any kind. What? Gambling without drinking. Crazy talk. Stay well, friends.

Thanks to everyone who contributed to this great TR, and to @CherriesJubilee for keeping things going!

A couple of quick questions for those who are / were at Cosmo recently...

It sounds like you still need to wait in line and check in with a host to be seated at the bar during the evening hours at Chandelier, but what's the situation at the Sports Bar? Do you need to check in with a host, or can you just walk up and take any available seat at the bar? Also, for those who frequented Chandelier pre-COVID, were there any familiar faces in terms of bartenders, or does it seem like the former bartender assignments at Chandelier and the Sports Bar are still shuffled around?

Also, a few previous TRs have implied that mask enforcement at Chandelier has been a little lax, even for those who may not be "actively" drinking or smoking. Maybe this was already discussed somewhere in the previous 39 pages, but does anyone have any observations on the mask enforcement situation there currently? Also, in the past it wouldn't be uncommon for there to be a little crowding around Chandelier by guests walking up to order a drink at the bar. Is this still the case, or are guests currently not allowed to walk up to the bar to order a drink (unless, of course, they're seated at a bartop position)?

At that price, it would have been foolish to not book flights to Vegas :) Will you be staying at Cosmo again?

The Chandy bar is very subdued. A hostess seats everyone, be it at the bar, or at a table... so no, there isn't anyone just able to waltz up and stand between players to order drinks. You have to be seated to order.

As far as mask usage... as of now, they are apparently treating the Chandy bar "area" as a restaurant-type place; as in, once you are inside, you are free to remove your mask. There isn't any signage or anything that says this is so, it is just solely my observation over the 2+ days and nights I was there. Maybe 10% kept their masks on. The other 90% had them off and were never asked to put them on.

The Sportsbook bar only had a hostess on Sunday during the games. No one was asked to mask up at or around this bar, either. People would come up to order at the bar(during un-hosted times), but the bartenders were usually quick to tell them that they had to be seated to order.

Every other machine at both bars was disabled, with signage saying that you couldn't sit there.

    meh, most.
I didn't post my TR, but I would guess some of y'all encountered Monica, a really gracious hostess at Chandelier that seemed to run the place, at least when we were there a few weeks ago, (long story short between me, my buddy, and a rando, tipped her $200+ just for being her). She handled who got in, who got seated, and kind of social distance controlled the situation at the bar. so though you could be mask down, getting too close to someone you were trying to talk to would get you a warning. So there was much less crowding in the in between spaces at machines, late one Sun night, she seemed to be directing the many to go/seated orders to the rightmost part of the bar...
