Wow. That was fast. I find the entire Park MGM casino boring. Hopefully they’ll come up with something that will add some excitement to the place.

My feeling is that this is just the first thing at Park MGM to be gutted and redone. They really blew it with this redo considering all of the promo hype they tried to build around it.

I had read earlier that it was being "renovated". After one year??? ;) Didn't realize it was a total demo.

I'm not hugely surprised, it was kind of a weird concept and I never saw anyone in there. That said, I have a feeling they're keeping the name -- they've extended the "Moneyline" branding to other properties, and in particular it's the name they're using for the new Borgata location (though if you look online, that's more of a traditional sportsbook rather than the restaurant/book hybrid they tried at Park MGM).

Yeah it sounds like they kept the name I did see the one at the Borgata just opened up a few weeks ago.

Only saw this place somewhat busy during big sporting events such as march madness or other play off games. Otherwise usually dead in the bar area.

Will be interesting to see what their New Concept is

Totally speculation on my part, but I could see them doing something similar to a smaller version of the Bellagio or Mandalay Bay sportsbooks, with the main book there and then something like Snacks or whatever the Mandalay Bay deli is called. They already have the kitchen infrastructure so they might as well offer food to people watching games, but not take up so much of the space with diner seating.

Yeah they had a huge bar in the money line I am surprised they just scrapped all that though probably trying to make it more vibrant looking in there with such a dark area before looked closed all the time even when it was open.

That's another good point, it was always so dark and quiet. Also, it always looked to me like a bar/restaurant that happened to have an odds screen and big TVs in the back, rather than an actual sportsbook like most resorts have.

Many stays at old M.C. and now Park MGM. I greatly miss the old "Pub" at the Monte Carlo for sports watching and food and beer.
Moneyline was doomed from the start, for pretty much all of the great reasons posted above.
I especially like the "Beehive" description from JSR, and always felt that the entrance seemed like a narrow tunnel leading to some kind of dark assed unknown.
I also got a real strong vibe from the front the book/counter employees that the days were limited for this spot in it's current form, pretty much within weeks of the opening.

I'll take more of an old school sports book myself.

I miss the concept of the Pub, but the staff there were horrific.

I went exactly twice, both just on a regular vacation.

The first time, the bartender asked me how I was doing, I responded, "Pretty good, how about you?" He proceeded to launch into a rant about how terrible management was. Now, I certainly don't mind talking shop, and that's like 90% of my conversations with bartenders these days, but those are people I know well and am friends with. For someone to immediately start complaining to a guest he doesn't know is pretty unprofessional.

The second time, I asked to order the fish and chips. The bartender responded, "No, that's terrible. You shouldn't order that. You want the French dip." I said I don't eat beef. He gave me an odd look and said, "Well, then I have no idea. Whatever you want, then, I guess." It was just weird.

I don't disagree with you, especially toward the last 3-4 years of the Pub's run. The food started to go downhill fast and the staff did get chippy and complained about management...and the reduction in the kitchen's size due to the build out of the Roadhouse and other restaurants outside on the strip side.

I mostly enjoyed the layout, size and big screens for viewing football for hours at a time when we went down during NFL season. Miss that part.

I have to believe part of the failure was the lack of proper marketing. I visited Money Line twice - this past March and and last summer and I actually enjoyed it! I just happened to walk (okay stumbled) into it one evening and stayed for a meal, drinks and a game or two. I couldn't believe how dead it was. On one of these trips I actually stayed at Park MGM and none of their marketing brought to my attention it even existed.

I'll be back (Aria) at the end of August and I will drop in to see the changes. Thanks for heads up!

Yeah this place was pretty doomed. Of course I was disappointed when they wouldn't comp their craft beer of course. Hopefully they will be more liberal on the rules in its reincarnation. A more traditional sports book layout I'd guess.

And right about the marketing too. You didn't know it was there.

They definitely like the name though. They used it for Gold Strike Tunica's new sports book.

While Horseshoe Tunica is called "The Book" just like Linq and they are wearing those stupid ref outfits too...

It’s back open again. They just moved around the bar and sports book and gave it a more open feel.

It looks mostly the same to me, though I didn't walk in.
