I had lunch with @Jpw711 this afternoon in St. Louis. Tried this for the first time. Will probably be having again next tunica visit. Ignore the bite. I almost failed on food porn again. Lol

 

Don't encourage the fox! Bastard got 4 more of my birds last night. He's like Houdini! No idea how he gets in and gets them out. The chicken looks really good Tring!

 

Carnegie Guisada- H-E-B grocery store is great it comes seasoned and ready to cook. Sadly no tortillas, beans, or rice-- keeping carbs down. Lettuce Pico De Gallo and cheese. My homemade salsa- turned out great. I used onions and Serrano peppers from my garden. Snails ate my Jalapeño plant to a nub. I've never used Serrano peppers before- it is a subtle slow burn. Lastly Deviled eggs for my husband.

 

Just flipped my red velvet layer cakes out of the pans. Now to make icing while they finish cooling for tomorrow's Fathers Day dinner.

 

Does anyone else still make the old fashioned homemade icing that is a heart attack waiting to happen? My daughter requested it for her cake and it's the one you use unsalted butter, powdered sugar, and Crisco shortening and vanilla? Lol I can't even imagine how bad it is for you but it does taste so good....I'll post pictures once I get it frosted and layered.

 

Tried out a new European pastry cafe in our neighborhood, Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee and a strawberry crepe. Really good!

 

Today is lasagnas....layer cake done, just needs frosting smoothed out and decorated after it's refrigerated. Just need to bake lasagnas for 3 hours. They weigh 10 pounds each!

 

Wow, you sure do feed your family well!! How is it that you all don't weigh 300 lbs each?!?

No, seriously, all of your meals and desserts look fabulous!

 

Oops I waited til way after dinner to take a photo of the lasagna that was left but it was delicious. Lol Looks bad now though.....

 

Still looks delicious! I'm also a big fan of cold pizza

 

My husband weighs over 300 pounds! Bwahaha! I'm getting there!
