First trip to Vegas was on a long business trip with my husband, who doesn't drink, smoke or gamble (they say opposites attract). He was busy day & night, and my wee bankroll was gone in about 3 days but I had no trouble keeping myself busy. We were staying at Venetian, and after about a week of listening to the score from Phantom of the Opera in the elevators, I went to Tix4Tonite and got myself a front row mezzanine ticket to the show. I was mesmerized! I am sorry I only saw it the one time.

I spent so much time alone on that trip, that it was like being solo. I fell in love with (almost) everything Vegas & have been going back a few times a year ever since, solo or with friends, but almost never with my husband. :p

First time I went to Vegas solo and met some 'internet' friends that I had; both the girls were going to see Elton Johns Red Piano at Caesars. One of them managed to get me a great deal on a ticket right before the show..I think it was $70 or $80 from the box office. I was in the lower section and the random guy next to me had 1 beer out of his bucket and gave me the other 5 lol.

Anyways, the show was good but the music was great!

My first show I think was the Frank Marino drag show when it was at the Riviera (RIP) back in the early 90's. I thought it was fabulous - there was Reba, Cher, and he was a dead ringer as Joan Rivers. I remember asking my friends - is that a man or woman...I was such a naive little 20 something..LOL.

Also saw David Copperfield (at Mirage maybe in the 90's) when he was more popular and still can't figure out how he did some of that magic. And while at that show one of our friends had to visit the restroom and he came back and loudly proclaimed..."I just peed next to the Six Million Dollar Man!!" Yep Lee Majors was in the men's restroom. Good times.

Favorite show of recent times is MJ One. I have seen it 3 times and will be going again next week thanks to a work perk! Love that show.

My first Vegas show was Ka. Even though the story dragged a little bit watching the stage was the highlight.

Mine was "O", a while back. I have a friend who was working for Cirque at the time, and got me light booth tickets (which are reserved for guests of the company) -- dead center, in a semi-private booth up on the tech level. Spoiled me for all other Vegas show experiences.

If I ever had kids, I was going to name the second one Nipsey!

My first show, like @Wanker751, was The Amazing Johnathan at the Sahara. Stayed at the Luxor and walked all the way down there. The guy he called up on stage to blow up balloons had Bell's Palsy and couldn't do it.

My family's ancestors knew the ancestors of the genius who wrote the software that controls the lighting effects in the show, so I got comped tix for a free buffet at TI.

I also was at Luxor for that trip! We walked back from Sahara after a poker tournament but after that show we went to "gentlemens club" on the recommendation of the taxi driver. The driver and club made a lot of money from us in kickbacks I am sure!

My first official Las Vegas show was the Fountains at Bellagio, Honeymoon 2002. After seeing "Oceans Eleven", there was no other show that could pop our cherry. I cried for Bocelli and Brightman's "Time to Say Goodbye". As for an actual stage production, we also saw "Mystere" at Treasure Island because I scored major discounts and it was like $20 a ticket.

Since then, we've been on an absolute tear. We saw "Rock of Ages" last year at Rio. LOLOLOL
And I had to be almost dragged to see that. (If I had only known that Michael Maheny was playing Joey Primo that night. Sweet Jesus, I have a thing for beautiful men in makeup.)

Wait, can I count Purple Reign at Boardwalk? Fat Elvis at Bill's? I did make efforts to be there on time to see these shows but we didn't pay admission...

The Comedy Club at "The Fabulous Riviera" in 1995.....with your ticket you were entitled to 2 mixed drinks, which they brought them both to your table at the same time, just before the show. The headliner was J.J. Walker (Good Times), with two opening acts. The two openers were hilarious, J.J. Walker was a real dud. We had a blast. We try to do two shows each trip, October will be Ringo Starr, and .....................well, we're open to suggestions for the other :D

Loved Purple Rain at the Boardwalk. One night sat at the bar chatting with a gal from the UK that knew Andrew Loyd Weber or worked for him or something and they were just about to open Phantom at the Venetian. Such a fun time!
