    All's well that ends well!

    We decided that we wanted to do SOMETHING during our 4 day weekend, and so we booked a last-minute room in Lake Charles, LA thru my L'auberge host (no comp, but discount rate due to holiday with possible comp off on back-end).

    Drove out Sunday morning for 2 nights. Played our asses off, had a great time, and came back with all of our bankroll! Room was comped at checkout, meals were covered with food credit, resort fees paid with points... the only cash spent was tips.
    The final tally might not have been so good, had we made it to Vegas... who knows?

    BTW, since we didn't rebook the LV flight, our luggage went to Vegas without us. Twice! Quite the cluster and many hours on hold with United. We finally got the call this morning that our bag was waiting at IAH baggage claim, so we picked it up on our way home from the local. And then got an email telling us we would each get 30,000 miles added to our accounts for our "inconvenience".

    Yes sadly …. We had to cancel due to Jeff’s momma having open heart surgery. Last 2 weeks have been ALOT… but you best believe we will be hosting our favorite Texans. Heading to Vegas soon can’t wait, much needed at this point!! Hope everyone is doing great and enjoyed their 4th of July.
