    He is right.
In the near term, Boyd and Stations will fare far better than Strip giants such as Venetian/Palazzo or Cosmo.
V/P has a large portion of their customers from overseas, specailly Asia.
Those people won't, in fact can't, come to US for the near future.

I'm in the same boat. I was hoping to go next week but don't see that happening. But once I know at least some casinos are reopening I'll be making a drive up, hopefully in a couple weeks.

I go to Vegas for two different reasons anyway. Some are for the full experience of restaurants, drinking, etc with gambling mixed in. For those I'll go to the strip.
I also go for just "gambling" trips and for those I go to the Vegas locals anyway since i do a lot better winning wise at those. My next one will be a "gambling" trip anyway.

I think I’m somewhere between B and C, waiting months, not weeks to see how things play out. I am thankful I went at end of Feb so not Jonesing as bad as it might be otherwise. Haha! Have an October trip planned for a family birthday - hope it’s all clear by then...

I may have been pricing DTW - LAS flights for June 19th (ish) for the past few days...

What are the chances the US/CAN border is still closed by then?

I've been listening to lots of CEOs on CNBC these days trying to figure out the market and the guy from Boeing this morning reiterated their position - that the air quality on an airplane is on par with most hospitals (according to him) and that being on a half-full airplane would be among the more safe places to be at the moment. Assuming that's true after some more research, you'll see me on a plane to LAS shortly after the border opens.

I have a feeling best case scenario for Canadians to visit America without 2 week quarantine is July. This date even seems premature.

I read an article about the air filtering system aboard passenger planes. The companies claim its very safe due to the filtering and how the air flows.

Ehhhhh.... maybe. Unless I’m sitting next to the sick person and unlike a restaurant or a slot machine, I have to sit in the same place until the plane lands.

Is a sick person going to load up on Tylenol and robitussin before they get to the airport to look not sick? Am I going to have a hot flash while they thermal scan me and appear that I have a fever and get denied entry?

Too many questions for me right now but I still have hope. Not for mid-June but am going to look into August.

Oh trust me I don’t necessarily believe them. They could be saying anything to get butts in seats.

If I had to fly to Vegas, I wouldn’t go for MONTHS from now.

I can drive so if I feel any degree of unsafe, I can leave.

Exactly. The thought of flying there and then having some sort of problem checking into hotel or flying home is awful. So I prefer not to be one of the first-I’ll read everyone else’s stories. I can deal with a mask, plexiglass, and take out and I’ve always preferred a lot of space at the pool, but don’t want to have to drive home to Michigan or hang out on a pedestrian overpass overnight.

I am a person with personal space issues so I’m pretty particular. I’ve been in situations where I’m playing video poker at a large empty bar and someone will sit right next to me. I just move away a few seats and 9 out of 10 times the person says something negative so I ignore them haha...

I've had 2 bad experiences pre-pandemic flying to Vegas, sitting right next to:

    One puker
    One serial cougher

It was traumatic then and I would worry even more about it now (rationally or not!)

That is my nightmare ... sitting next to some one who’s puking. I would literally get sick myself.

i agree with alot off these posts , at the moment i cant seem to get my head around a 10 hour flight from the UK . i havent got over the disappointment yet of cancelling my June trip. But i still have my flight , Virgin just gave me a voucher to use when ever . i will keep looking and when i feel its right i will be back .

I'm only a 2.5 hour flight to Vegas, but more airlines are starting to require wearing a mask. I had to wear a mask to the grocery store last week, and omg it's so uncomfortable. It's hard to breath and I keep inhaling warm exhaled air. Makes me light headed and my face gets sweaty... But these measures could be with us for a while, so I dunno what to do. I don't care about the thermal cameras or distancing; that's all fine and dandy.

Also, no drink service on short flights totally kills the Vegas arrival vibe. If you haven't had at least 3 pre-Vegas drinks on the airplane, the trip is incomplete.

I’ll go back when the shows, restaurants etc are back. I’m not going to walk the strip in a mask either. I read that the VP is only going to allow 4 people at a time on an elevator. That will be a nightmare. If you are on floor 15 of 30-40 or so will you ever get an elevator down? How will they enforce it?

    I’m hoping for September.

I am booking my trip for Sept with the family.

Spirit seems to be allowing no middle seats. So they are forcing people apart which is great. Would be better if everyone was forced to wear a mask too.

It will definitely be interesting for those who go at the initial opening. MGM announced they will roll out with 2-3 props opening ( Bellagio and NYNY were named as 2 ) Caesar’s has speculated Caesar’s and Flamingo will be the roll out for them.
So if the Gov on Thur announced gaming would not happen until the 3rd or 4th phase.... and phase 1 starts may15th needing a 2-3 week time frame before it advances ...... does that mean we may not see openings until at least mid June ( think @IrishDave may have said this too)
Fml if that’s accurate. I can kiss my June trip bye bye :(

Something I read said that phases 3 and 4 would be a matter of months not weeks. Sigh.
