I’m looking for thoughts. I played at Wynn several times since last fall up until this summer. I had a host who essentially who gave me reduced rates on the higher end rooms with a bit off the back end . Our relationship ended after she wouldn’t upfront comp me the same room for a summer stay.

I recently got a Wynn offer for 450 credit and a parlor suite mid week comped. Which beat anything my host ever gave me. I use and like the nicer rooms. Was she low offering my play or now we are in fall they are trying to generate play? Their December offer to me is even better.

I don't know the definitive answer to this question, but I can tell you that my Wynn offers skyrocketed in the last year or so - like 4x anything I had ever been offered before. When I booked, the person I spoke to said this was partly due to Covid and them needing the business, and partly because I played much more on my previous trip.

I’ve also seen offers increase significantly in the past year. One thing I’ve also noticed is that Wynn seems to weight your recent play higher than say MGM but perhaps similar to Cosmo. My MGM offers have changed very little over the past 3 years even though each trip generates wildly different Theo. Wynn offers seem to be based heavily on my most recent trip.

The corporate offer generation algorithm may just be different than how hosts look at play because hosts are taking some ‘risk’ to their player portfolio numbers if you low-play them, whereas the corporate offers probably roll up centrally to a rewards program manager who is managing hundreds of thousands of players.

Wynn throwing on a free Holland America Voucher on some play during Dec. Seemed like not a big level of play to get it. I’ll take the algorithm offers. Better than dealing with a sour puss host.

Can’t speak for Wynn but I believe at many places marketing offers and upfront host comps are different. And that host comps are tougher to get versus the equivalent marketing offer. Over at Cosmo we are always booked on a marketing offer and then have our host comps on top if our play warrants that.

I don't want get into discussions of how offers are generated.
