Has anyone seen their promos dry up (even when giving play)?

2015 - I was super lucky... up for the year and prolly 250k in w2g
2016 - tight as hell. Maybe like 3 wtg

I had a summer promo for 1000fp/200fb nightly.
Then, I used 750fp/200fb nightly promo for winter.

Now, just get events and tournies! No spring or summer promo.

I'm fully aware my host would probably give me a custom promo if I asked, but, I'm kinda weird in that I'd feel a little less pressure to just have the computer give me something.

Just curious if others have seen anything similar....

I am not a big gambler and usually only bring $1000-$3000 with me on my 3 night trips. I only spend $200-$300 on slots, the rest mainly poker and a little blackjack. I have gone 7 different trips since August 2014. Overall I have lost maybe $1000 on slots, and won $15,000 in Blackjack! I receive the following offer every season (spring, summer, fall, winter):

$129 Weeknight and $219 Weekend. Stay 3 nights and receive $150 Resort Credit. Stay in July/August and receive 1 complimentary night in November/December. Prepay your entire stay to receive $20 off your nightly room rate. That would bring the room cost down to $109 and $199 respectively.

I haven't stayed at Wynn since January 2016 (when I discovered cosmo). I'm still getting 750fp/300fb or 600fp which doubles if I hit 25000 points. Despite not playing or staying there I've seen no reduction in offers. With your level of play MCP I'd guess there is something wrong with your account.

I'm glad you posted this, Jason. I've been wondering about this myself.

I had been getting the three free nights plus $750 in FP offers since I first played there last February. It was obviously a great teaser offer which I now know I will probably never see again. I took advantage of this offer in January, and I also was able to upgrade to a Parlor Suite based on an email upgrade offer I received.

I put about 21000 points on my account during my three day stay there, which I thought would be plenty to continue receiving the $750 offer and three free nights any day of the week... if not more!

However, my summer offer is only for 3 free nights and $300 in free play. Not Sunday-Thursday only, but not all weekend nights included either like they were before. Lots of blackouts.

I presumed it was because I "underplayed" during my Parlor Suite stay in January and that I didn't play up to the level of my comp, but maybe it's something more widespread.

I know for a fact I didn't meet their 'stated' points for my parlours... but I also had table play and my losses were a fair amount. Certainly, I'd have thought enough for a regular promo....
on losing trips it's way harder for me to play how I like to play and post 12000 points daily lol

Jen, I think your host has latitude to get you in on blackouts and upgrade your room if you do choose to go. They've always been great about that for me....

We have been getting consistent offers of $750 FP and three nights in a standard room. Our host told me not to book with the marketing people, but rather through him. Our play is the same each year (We go once a year). The offer is only the room and FP. Our points are about 8-9,000 per day. We see a huge difference in our comps by booking through our host. I think this is the key MonteCarloPlayer. Use your host. Ask about F&B, limo use and Tower Suites up front with your host and I think you will see a big difference.

I agree with hccj1, your Wynn host has a lot of latitude with comps. I too get the same marketing offers as hccj, but by booking through my host I get a Tower side room, limo and rfbl in addition to the free play. I guess this is why I love my host :)

It seems like all of you are saying you receive offers of (3) Free Nights, plus some amount of Free Play for slots. As you can see in my previous post, I have never received anything like that. May I ask if anybody will explain what kind of games you are playing and how much coin in it takes you to accumulate 10k-20k points? Seems like 9k gets you free rooms, and 20k can get you free parlor suite? I am sure you need to be playing higher than penny slots and be putting quite a bit of money through the machine. If anybody can shed some light, I would be interested to learn.

At my peak I was earning 50000 points in a 2-3 day trip playing pennies on up to $100 machines. I also had a few table hours $200-$1000 bet. The best promo this garnered me was $1000 fp/$300 fb nightly. Host always set me up with a parlor, limo etc.

The point of my original post was just surprised how inconsistent receiving promos are. I love that I know I'll get a Cosmo email every 3-4 weeks.... and I'm one of those dorks that loves receiving casino mail lolol

Yes, it's nice to know the Cosmo mailers/emails come with some consistency. Although I'm finding that my host at Cosmo is really taking care of me, even without a current offer. I just emailed her about a four night stay and she is comping me for the entire stay, even though I don't have a current email offer for that time period (well I did, but used one of the nights for the SF trip, which I guess invalidated the rest of the offer). No free play, but I'm very happy with the four nights in a terrace studio!

I can't imagine that with your history of play the marketing offers really evaporated, even if you played lower than expectations on some of the parlour set ups etc.

I would contact Red Card desk directly (totally get your point on the custom host offer). At V/P last year I had some questions about my offers not changing much despite larger shifts in THEO. Rather than asking host about it, I contacted the Grazie desk who did connect me to the marketing department that sends the offers out. They did answer enough of my questions while still trying to get me to instead query my host, lol. I suspect there is some kind of hiccup in your account rather than this really reflecting your play.

    Don't try to discourage you.
20K points at Wynn is $30K coin-in on slots. (4x more on VP).
So you should prepare to lose $3000 on that, potentially much more.
And that is definitely not a cheap way to pay for a fancy room.

Agreed, though I would like to receive slightly better than what I receive now which is $129 weeknights and $219 weekend, with additional $20 off for prepaid room. Also comes with $150 resort credit if you stay 3 nights, and a free night in Nov/Dec if I stay any amount of nights in July/Aug. Has anybody seen a better offer than this without having to put in $30k coin-in on slots? maybe just a free night, or a few free nights, or better resort credits?

Comped blackjack players are typically a minimum average bet of $300 with 4 hours a day.

I set foot in Wynn only once, on one of my first trips, probably 8 or 9 years ago. I remember I earned 99 points, because later I found out if I had earned 100, I would have gotten to spin a wheel for some freeplay or something. So $148.50 coin in. I did get teaser offers from them for a while, I don't remember how long. I think they were for 3 free nights. But 8 or 9 years later, I still get "offers" from them that are similar to the terms you describe $129/$219 with a 3rd night free if the 3rd night is on certain days of the week, $200 FREECREDIT, "free upgrade" to an Encore room.

Except for the free night, the availability of which is very limited in terms of trying to plan a trip, I look at this offer as basically being a casino rate offer, I guess I'm a little impressed that I still get it. But given the trip frequency you described as well as your numbers, I'd say the offers you're getting are simply based on your play. Slots get a lot of comps, BJ a lot less than slots (per amount bet), poker nothing.

I dunno, it's possible they have your account flagged incorrectly or something. If you want to post your average bet and typical average time per day on BJ, someone can probably assess whether your offers should be better. Just as a wild ass guess, I'd say they'd be looking for a $150 average 4 hours a day, and probably closer to $200.

I have a couple of offers from Wynn right now. They started after an afternoon of carded play there last June (never had much play before that).

First teaser offer was $1000FP. Subsequent offers have been $750FP/3Nts and seem to be made seasonally with a single snail mail letter from Wynn and at least a once monthly "reminder" you have not used the offer.

I also have an offer presently for $600 and another $600 if I top 25000 points during my stay (total of $1200). I just asked my "host" (in quotes because I've only emailed with this guy a couple of times) if my play was in that range and it made sense to take a shot -- he said that my last two trips were 31,000 points (2 nights) and 19,000 points (1 night).

@MonteCarloPlayer -- I've seen you play before and you should be getting better offers than me. Sounds like they have maybe made a mistake in coding your offers and that a short email to your host asking should get you one pretty quickly.

For what it's worth, I love the Wynn. I get murdered there on slots but the place is gorgeous, food out of this world and people watching unrivaled.
