Anyone been playing the Wynn Slots game? Earning their 'gems' is a bit of a grind, but they an be used to redeem up to 4 comp nights at Wynn. I've earned enough for 2 nights so far on the right days (they have different prices depending on the day/time of year). I don't have any upcoming Vegas trips I need a room for, but if I string 4 free nights together it might be worth the trip out! I'll just keep grinding away until I'm ready. Hopefully they don't change their rewards before I earn something good

Yep, I've been playing for a few months now, and earned enough gems for a 3 night comp stay (already booked for end of Sept).

I've been playing for awhile, and have a three-night stay booked so far, and about 4400 gems in the bank. I'm able to reliably earn 100 gems a day mostly by setting it to run in the background while I'm doing other stuff, so it's not a big effort to earn them.

I tend to follow advice seen online in terms of how and when to play to maximize gem earnings, so most of my play is around their scratcher achievements, since you get bonus coins for completing them that evens out some of the ups and downs. It gets harder to earn gems as your total gem count earnings increases, so the free stuff won't last forever, but it's nice to have the option and Wynn rooms are really comfy :)

The rewards have increased at least twice in the past three months, so expect to get frustrated at least once while chasing those four nights, @Goldenknight . But it's free rooms so once you have them, you'll be happy haha

It's in the terms how they set the gem price per night. It's based on the cheapest available resort room for that particular night, so if the room is 6,000 gems, it's cost that night has an actual cost of $600 if you wanted to book it. Seems fair enough. In general Vegas rooms seem cheaper the further out you book so I'd expect the same trend at Wynn too. I suppose some weeks end up being less busy than expected and the gem cost should decrease in turn. Right now I'm just banking then until I can use then though.

Gems have been devalued periodically. There's been a couple of them this year - when it happens the groups that have popped up around the game go nuts. They've also slowed the gem earning rate after an update earlier in the year. As a relatively new app I expect this to happen periodically as the liability for the total gems earned increased and the number of players grow (just like loyalty programs periodically revaluate rewards and earnings rates). Just something to account for. Book as soon as you hit your number. Some will book what they can and then unbook/rebook if they want to add another night later, or avoid the risk of a gem devaluation while building to another point.

I guess we'll let you join...
The weekend we plan to be there jumped to 6100 a night from 4k right before we booked them. We should have preemptively booked earlier because we were likely going, but I am a damn idiot. They were as low as 3k in April. UGH.

MrsMaGu1982 and I play the game as well. Wifey already maxed out on GEMs (50k). She got quite lucky and won multiple Plat jackpots. She is 20th in the leaderboard of total winnings and only spent 15 or 20 Dollars to empty the piggy bank when it maxed out at 100 million. Wish she had that much luck in Vegas. Love the idea of retiring in our mid 30s. :D

I have almost 5k GEMs. It really became a grind to earn them. It was actually too easy in the beginning and they "had" to adjust the earning rate.

Overall a great way to get free nights. With the 4night max redemption, we can stay at the Wynn the next few trips. First redemption will be in April on our 8 night trip. Then she can start earning again.

I started up in June and spun like crazy. Spent 35 CAD on coins, but got enough for a three night stay... next week! So excited to hole up in a top-class hotel room with a bag of stale chips and a warm Champale from Walgreens for dinner! I know how it's done, baby.

I put out a multi-part post all about the app, along with some strategies.

    https://www.royalflushervegas.com/2019/08/wynn-slots-app-part-1-how-i-stay-free.html

I really lucked out because I was booking in low season - only 1.8K gems a night. If it wasn't for that, I wouldn't have been able to get much for my gems.

How does the december calendar look?

@Royal Flusher just keep in mind that at Wynn when they say "no resort fee" what they actually mean is "resort fee is optional". Meaning that, you don't get any of the things normally included with a mandatory resort fee, such as in-room wifi, access to the fitness centres, local and domestic long-distance calls, etc. Of all the things typically included with a mandatory resort fee, it's probably the wifi that will surprise people the most, particularly for anyone either not from the US or with limited data plans. However, at least at Wynn you can get just wifi for just under $20 / 24 hours and still avoid the full resort fee. In the end that's probably more fair to ding somebody $20 for just wifi than the full $40+ for wifi, but it's still crazy that after two days you'd be spending more on wifi than a whole month back home.

I was doing some research on free Wi-Fi on Wynn Hotel & Casino and found the following restarurant/cafe that provide fee Wi-Fi according to Yelp, I suppose we need to verify it. Here they are:

    Jardin
    Urth Caffé
    Terrace Pointe Cafe

It is good if you don't need constant Wi-Fi, good enough to check email or Whatsapp and Skype messages.

Excellent idea and info! I wonder if there is a place to sit outside these joints and poach the wifi, since I can't afford poached anything else at Wynn. ;)

I suspect that they might only give out password to customers, but it is still better to buy a cup of coffee or food from Urth Caffé, once you get the password you can sit outside to use it if they don't change password everyday., I believe they have table and chair outside based on the pictures they have on the website.
It is still cheaper to buy coffee every day even if they change password every day, you can use it all day. Why pay $20/day, you don't stay in your room all day anyway. I know some people like to eat at Jardin and Terrace Point Cafe, they will have access to the WiFi there if Yelp is correct. I will test it out when I go there in October.

I didn't know about the Wynn slot app, It is sure nice to play it for fun and have a chance to earn enough gem for free room, I just download the app and started playing and I am winning, but have only earned 13 gems so far. Thank you all for the info on this app.

UPDATE: New calenders were released in the app. Rooms can now be booked through 7/31.

Seems like the rooms are "more expensive" on average. Taking into account that they made earning gems also more difficult and lowered the max gems you can earn some time ago, this is another raise. Nevertheless, the rooms are still kind of free.

We booked our room for 4 nights for Easter break 2020 (12.8k gems) and wifey can still not earn more gems (still has more than the max of 25k). I see a few more free stays at Wynn in our near future.
