Yes, lost again

Here is a recap of our April 9 thru 13 Vegas trip. We stayed at the Cosmo and were picked up at the airport at 4:30 p.m. The plane was delayed for a half hour because the stewardesses were late arriving which is a new reason to delay a flight I guess. The lines at check in were long, long, long…glad I didn’t have to wait in them. Got my favorite room, a terrace suite, with the view of the fountains. After dinner I was in the casino by 6:30 p.m. and remained there until 3:00 a.m. slotting and doing pretty well but since the wife was with me I knew I had to quit and get back up to the room. I had to be on rather good behavior since we were celebrating our 46th anniversary.

Our anniversary dinner was at Charlie Palmer’s, which is one of my wife’s favorites, and I have to eat there every time she comes with me to Vegas. They have a jazz combo that plays on Monday evenings. All the rest of our meals were at Cosmo and most of them were at Milo’s. Had to have the octopus appetizer almost everyday…so good.

The slots were kind Sunday night, but after that it was a total massacre. I tried all the slots everyone seems to have luck at but the best hits all week came on the new Bier Haus machine and regular buffalo. Buffalo Gold remains my nemesis although I did get quite a few bonuses on the wonder four version but they never amounted to much. Spent too much on it and on Buffalo Grand, which never even bonused for me the whole time there and I played it everyday.

I was really trying to get a hand pay, came close a few times, but one never materialized. So another losing trip with only one good night of gambling. I had $300 FB but that doesn’t go too far at Cosmo restaurants. Fortunately the host comped everything at checkout.

I’ve got to say I really enjoy staying at the Cosmo and we had a fun trip. Every one of the staff is very friendly and very accommodating. No matter what I asked for I got. Even after a losing trip can’t wait to return there.

 

I've had the cut of the week often there, it's a great deal with excellent food. You get two wines now, one with the appetizer and a different wine with the entree. The wine is bottomless.

 

I played those Buffalo Deluxe machines near Clique a lot too. A few trips ago I did very well on them but they didn't like me this trip.

 

I learned a long time ago not to let myself get upset and ruin my vacation over loses. The bankroll I bring has been set aside for gambling and win or lose I'm still going to enjoy my trip. The only thing that would spoil a trip for me is if I would let myself lose the bankroll before the trip trip ended so I always divide my money by days to ensure I never run out while in Vegas. Can't think of a worse place to be broke than in Vegas.
