I wasn’t gonna do another trip report because I mostly do the same shit every time, but it can’t hurt anyone so here goes. My 4th of 2024 and #25 overall. This isn’t the greatest of ideas, but I needed a couple nights of Las Vegas (cheaper than a shrink). I was too busy at work and skipped a fall birthday trip to Colorado when Derek offered up Empathy for the early NFL Survivor losers. This will be a quick trip, but also a cheap one ($86 round trip). I see myself pulling an all nighter of BlackJack & VP at all the south strip MGM properties. Coyote Ugly, Losers, center bars are on the docket. Sleep a little Monday morning before moving from the MGM Grand to Circa via a booze walk down LV Blvd. Stadium Swim is a possibility, of course Hogs, maybe the Underground for pizza, a downtown booze/culture walk, hopefully a steak somewhere, lots of BJ at the Golden Gate, and early morning booze & VP at the D before heading home Tuesday.

Early on waffled back-n-forth between night 1 at the Golden Gate for $70 or comped +$45 at MGM Grand. In 24 previous trips I’ve only stayed about 6-7 nights on the strip, but I wanted to keep the comped MGM rooms coming for longer trips. Lady friend K is joining me for her second time in Las Vegas so that made the decision easy to take MGM over dirt baggin it at the Gate.

Oh…and how could I forget…happy D.B. Cooper day! This will be my second time flying on this national holiday and hell ya I’m sporting his shirt! (the security guy said “that’s not a good shirt to wear at an airport). I informed him of the importance of this 53rd anniversary.

Even though it’s a short trip, I’m pumped. Let’s see how many beers & gambling hours I can go thru in this 31 hrs of boots on the ground. See y’all in 2.5 hrs!

-150 on the gamble last night. Not good, but at least I made it to the room before I passed out…unlike this old fart.

 

Good Morgan! We thought about renting a car and driving to the valley of fire, but it’s raining, so drinking & gambling it is!

 

If you see a guy walking around downtown with no ass, it’s me…I have lost my ass today! I think I’m gonna go swimming at the CAL.

 

I needed to clear my mind of the losing, so I brought K to the classiest joint in town. She donates a bra last time.

 

I couldn’t get K to dance on the bar. We’ll see after another 8 hrs of drinks

 

Sorry I went silent. After Hogs & Heifers the gambling didn’t get any better, but two nights in Las Vegas was still a lot of fun. The room at Circa was incredible, the room at MGM was not as nice as a normal D room. No more McDonald’s behind those two slot machines. Glitter Gulch Tiki was alright. I stood in a circle for a while, but no money was made…ha. I’m not sure when I’ll be back. I have snowmobiling trips in Jan & Feb (possibly Mar). Thinking of going somewhere new for my annual Apr trip.
