Thanks to a member on another forum, I just discovered that MGM Grand lets you book your buzz offers for just one night, and still get the free play, food credit. I guess I thought that all M Life offers had a 2 night minimum. I did not know this and thought I would share.

I couldn't get my normal early morning flight on my September trip, so am flying in a day earlier and was just going to spend one night at the Vdara. Well staying at the MGM Grand with $450 in free play is wwwwaaaayyyy better than using EC's to pay for a night a the Vdara.

Thats a good tidbit! Is that the full freeplay amount in your offer or is it prorated at all? At V/P they will prorate the freeplay to a lesser amount if you stay only 2 nights instead of three for instance. Super great if they allow using it all!

They didn't say anything about pro-rating it when I called to book the offer and asked if you still got the free play. They just said yes. And my offer on the M Life web site lists the entire amount. I was surprised too. I will check with the man on the other forum to see if he got the full amount. I think he would have said if he didn't.

Cool! I am a self-admitted free play slut!

You should be good! I have booked buzz offers for only one night a few times. I learned about it from a woman I was playing blackjack who always used her buzz offers this way. Her husband only allowed her to go to Vegas for one night at a time so this worked perfect for her. I don't get free play since they have me coded as a table player but I always get the full amount of resort credit.

Great news! Glad to have that confirmation. I still can't believe they do that. But I'm not going to argue.

    Thanks much!

If they pulled that on me, I would still leave after 2 nights with a DoNot Disturb sign on the door. How would they know when I left? That rule just leaves a room "occupied" for one more night.

Earlier this year Mandalay Bay let me use my full (though very modest) FP and FB on a one-night stay even though it was a two-night comp. Got in super late, played just enough to register as having a pulse, and clocked out $250 ahead. I couldn't even use up the FB in my one meal there (breakfast), but that's OK. Was just glad I could use the offer that way.

Agreed they shouldn't even bother with trying to prorate as it's too easy to get around it!! Just wastes hotel space!

They have been doing that for years and I have stayed several times for just 1 night and gotten full resort credit and free play. With recent changes to nickel and dime us on everything at M-Life properties I keep expecting that policy to change but hoping it doesn't! For what it's worth The Cosmopolitan also does it or least did in the past when I just stayed one night on a three night offer. I wish Venetian and Palazzo did it.

Just for the record, it was me Josie was referring to.

Yes, I was able to book the MGM Grand Spring Buzz offer for a single night and get all of the freeplay and resort credit. I don't know how long that will last. I was staying at Cosmo, so I actually wanted to use similar FP/RC offers from Aria or Bellagio, so I could just walk over. But the Aria and Bellagio offers were corporate offers and required a two-night stay.

The reason I decided to use the MGM offer was because it was going to be a no-play visit (besides using the freeplay and resort credit, all I did was run $10 through a slot to keep my EC's alive). And I figured it was better to no-play a single night rather than two, although when you think about it, means that my ADT was $1 instead of $0.50. Lol.

I have a new round of Corporate Offers and either they're giving me a pass for July or they haven't caught up yet, because they're the same as the last round. But they're all two-night mins. I don't think I have a new Buzz offer from MGM Grand.

Interesting. I know after Chuck told me about MGM Grand, I called the Bellagio to see if you could book their offers for only one night, and was told no - 2 night minimum. I don't have an Aria offer to try. Apparently dropping $1,700 in 3 hours on slots during my May trip isn't enough to keep the offers coming :).

I also know I tried this on the corporate offers and couldn't do it either.

Wynn is one that won't let me for sure. I was going to book just for the $600 FP but it had to be 3 nights and then they didn't have the 3 nights consecutive available and they refused to do it for 2 nights. I won't play there again.

Josie, have you tried calling Aria to make sure? I called the other day bc I did not have any offers showing (I already used the one on the site for this quarter) and they had other offers for me.

That's a great suggestion. I'll give them a call tomorrow. Thanks!

I had a similar experience where I was first told three consecutive nights weren't available and I couldn't get the freecredit with just two ... but my calendar showed the third night as available so I called back, spoke to someone else and booked three nights. Still don't know what happened with the first one and the reasoning that the lack of third night wasn't my fault didn't gain any traction.

At some point, I was able to book one night at Aria and get the full freeplay and resort credit but I think it was a couple years ago.

I used to run into this with V/P over and over again. I would have 3 or 4 night offers, but for stays that would work for my schedule, one night would be blacked out for whatever reason.

It would happen with MGM properties and Cosmo occasionally, usually when there was a holiday weekend involved. But I was always able to get them to override the blackout. But V/P would never budge, even when the blackout day was in the middle of the week.

I'm not on the gambling level as many of you, pretty much a low roller, also our trips have been limited, I went from platinum down the bottom of totem pole to Sapphire now a pearl, my point is MGM IMO has always been liberal with comps! Customer Service has always been pretty good.
